I have always loved Emmylou Harris. And she only gets better with age. One of her performances with The Band..... Evangeline..... "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

This was Emmylou back in '77.... Pancho and Lefty. And this is from '97.... Pale Blue Eyes... And Sheryl Crow was just recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Why must all those I love be leaving me???????????? "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

That was not the cut I was trying to sell, really. Stan had a more pointed bit about talk shows./// Overbooking..... Remember Blossom Deary? This was the bit about being honored to be in the audience. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

CCR...... Molina. This song grabbed my by the big ones back when I bought their first album on vinyl. On the big blue Fantasy records label. Few songs can top this. The driving bass line is superior......and the sax? OH, meow....the sax. And I finally found somebody that realized the cut did not end at the first break.....LOL. That is also a great part. Molina.....full cut. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

For the uninitiated...... The is CCR..... Creedence Clearwater Revival. The full album Pendulum. (yesssssss, they do allow this on youtube these days) I consider this their finest effort. John Fogerty and his band rock out..... Hideaway is by far and away one of my favorite songs. Not top 40 food, but a great song. "and you know I'm gonna miss you when you're gone.. wish I could hideaway...." Stuart Cook was the bass player, and one of the best at his craft. I have a mint vinyl copy I could ship anywhere in the world. For about $1000.00 US. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

If I have to remind you who Doug Sahm was...... CCR, Sir Douglas, Texas Tornados. Passed back in '99. Tribute band.....not bad. If the rigs don't shut down due to the heat, I may post a few of his own. Trace Relations.....Groover's Paradise. Doug's album. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |
