Finally got a good connection and reported 269 completed tasks but got no new tasks. The cricket graph is charging back up too.

It was 277 tasks here, all of a sudden they're gone, but no new wu, yet, maybe later though.

I have lots of work for the CPU. And am getting a trickle for the GPU. completion times say 3 hours but the first one was done in 25 minutes. Thats average for my little GTS 250.
I have a few in retry to download, Ill be out of work on the GPU before they all get uploaded.

Reported all of my tasks & got some new work- looks like 98% of it are VLARs. Got a couple for the GPU but they're long gone & no new work in sight- just lots & lots of VLARs.

Used to call that the "Scotty clause". Let's see who can figure out the connection.

I can't believe that in 3.5 hours no one has responded to the "Scotty clause" connection. I must be even older than I thought since even if you dont remember Star treck the original series, that was explained in one of the films (can't remember exactly which one, 107 I think). Beam me up!

Yes ever since my one successful connection, I have been getting the same response. Well we are still in the 3 day weekly outage window, so we cant complain (too much) about connection problems.

Does those 3 days still count? I mean, the message is removed from the front page and have been after every Tuesdays outage for a long time.

It's like the "allow 30 days for delivery" when they know that they're usually going to deliver in 2 or 3 days. In this case they normally finish in a few hours but the 3 day window gives them some extra time in case something comes up that takes longer.

Used to call that the "Scotty clause". Let's see who can figure out the connection.

The following?:

James T. Kirk: How much refit time before we can take her out again?
Montgomery Scott: Eight weeks, Sir, [Kirk opens his mouth] but ya don't have eight weeks, so I'll do it for ya in two.
James T. Kirk: Mr.Scott. Have you always multiplied your repair estimates by a factor of four?
Montgomery Scott: Certainly, Sir. How else can I keep my reputation as a miracle worker?
James T. Kirk: [over the intercom] Your reputation is secure, Scotty.

Getting a lot of "No tasks sent" & "Project has no tasks available" mesages (looks like lots of VLARs still about), but damn i love that provy- even with the traffic maxed, most downloads are coming through at 100kB/s or more. Even in quiet periods the usual connection was never that fast.

When you can get them they are coming in fairly fast without the proxy.

I transfered my non VLAR's from CPU to GPU and got a bunch of VLAR's sent to fill up the CPU queue.

About the only WU's available for GPU's are shorties and they are in very short supply, my queue is now under 300 WU's, a couple of hours work if I am lucky.

At this stage after an outage, normally i'd be lucky to get anything faster than 5kB/s- even if it didn't time out while downloading.

30 to 50kB/s when I could get them.

Its going to get cold now, switched back to 1 WU per card and thrown a bunch of VLAR's at GPU's, its my bedtime and I do not want them to run out while I am not watching them:-(

I'm wondering the same, I'm down to my last two and the one currently crunching has just passed 25% complete. In about 22hrs I'll be out of work :(
