Hi

If you remember with seti 4.03 40 - 50 cb was normal.
With 4.05 60 - 80 cb is normal.
More crunchtime = more credits but only claimed.
I have many credit claimed 60 and granted 40 and below.

atually, the debug code was gone, we have it narrowed down to a difference in build environments.

Next time I fly down to berkeley I'll be checking on the computer that did the build, it might be time to rebuild it or something.

There were a few .net updates in the past few months. I wonder if that may have had an effect?

I have the c# .net environment, but my c++ is version 6, so I can't compile the sources. Doing source diffs from mid-September to date sure don't seem to show a potential slowdown in the code.

The 4.07 release seems to crunch at the same rate as 4.03 on my notebook (2.5 - 3 hours).

There is one error in the graphics of the new 4.07 units in the user info while running it does not show any data at all. That is the info of name , team and total credit, (this last one shows 0.00)

Hope Rom Walton will have an answer for that.

Rest is ok, times are down by half.

Processing time has decreased from more than 6 hours to about 4 hours per WU on my AMD Athlon XP 1800. That's great. The only problem now is with the graphics. The window is showing some default settings, no name, no credits. Changing the preferences and/or updating doesn't help. I hope this can be fixed. Everything else is working fine. No problems with getting enough WUs for my computer since weeks. Thanks to the whole SETI-team!

Oops, how can I delete this post? (I did send the same message twice inadvertently, and now I'm unable to get rid of the second one.)

Rom is investigating the graphics problem with the new sah app 4.07 for windows. I suspect that the answer lies in the front page news, in that the new app contains the upgraded graphics API changes which work fine for the core being tested in alpha {Boinc V4.5x}, but not the core currently running in seti{Boinc V4.13}.

And the graphics do work with 4.54. So this may just be a case for patience until 4.5x is released.

4.07 does not seem to read my default preferences for one of my computers.

Forgive me if this has already been answered elsewhere, but is the 4.07 SETI@Home client supposed to roll out to Linux/Mac machines or is it Windows only? My Linux client is still running on a 4.02 client and I was wondering if 4.07 will be made available to us alternative-OS'ers. :)

4.07 decreased my compute time from 6 Hours to 4 Hours for 2 units on a Windows XP system with a P4 2400 @ 2700. Thanks to the SETI crew for fixing the slowdown bug :)
