Christmas? Since the boys know what they want and now have the money for them we might see the new stuff taking over by Halloween. That's a week to get them and two weeks to set them up, it's do-able!! ( Okay, that's pushing it but I'm not gonna wait a day past Thanksgiving! :-) ) Have fun with your new toys guys!

What did I do?

A few weeks ago I asked for some help for 'my' project.

I only asked for a few bits of kibble, and I got a 100 pound sack of kitty food dropped on my head.

You have all just been amazing.

I have just posted this on "Stargazers Lounge", the biggest Astronomy Forum in the UK.

Dear All,

SETI@Home is going through a difficult time at the moment. A Server has died and we are trying to raise some cash to replace it.

There is an SGL team on SETI@Home and we all crunch data to help the project.

Having just got back from the Kielder Star party and donated $25 to the Emergency Appeal, I thought that other SGL Team members might want to help out with $5-$10. It is only a couple of beers, or a tiny bit of kit from the vendors at Kielder, but will help keep the project going.

If you can't, then that is okay, but please keep supporting the project by crunching.

MODS - if you feel this post in inappropriate, please delete it (but I hope that you don't, as the SGL Team and others need to give help to this project).

When the project crashes, it just brings out so many negative folks.
Their comments hurt me personally.....although they are not shot at me directly.
