Nice. Thanks Vic.

Nearly 8pm here and so far no little visitors. Eric saw three kids run down our hill. Maybe they'll hit our house on the way back up. There are lots of dogs barking in the neighborhood, my raccoons are all hiding and when I go out on to the front porch, I can hear the voices of plenty of trick-or-treaters on other (less steep) streets. I hope I get at least get a few kids visiting tonight. On a bad year, we get zero - which depresses me no end.

I had no idea when we bought this house several years ago that the steep grade of our street would be so off-putting to children and their parents. If I had known, I swear I would have looked elsewhere!!!

We went through 8 bags of candy. We should have had 10, but some rather tight rationing near the end got us through.

10pm here and I'm calling it. I had 2 (count 'em, 2) trick or treaters. And they showed up together. It's 48°f and cloudy, so that may have curtailed things a bit. Now, whatever am I going to do with this big bowl of candy?

Yes Vic. Porch light has been on since about 2pm! Also up are strings of twinkly orange lights in our front room window. And fear not, I would be the CRL anyplace with raccoons, which in North America is pretty near everywhere. If you feed them, they will come...

John, you lucky son of a gun, where do you live? I'm moving there!!!

10pm here and I'm calling it.

Nooooooo! Keep the faith. The packs of marauding teenagers don't even get started until 10pm!

Teenagers? Wow, In My day most teens said It was only for the under 12 crowd, Some would rob the kids though.

Me I watched the Giants win their 3rd game in the World Series(Score: 4-0, Games: 3-1) while drinking some Chocolate Milk Substitute that I whipped up earlier, It's ok, But Nestles It isn't as It just requires warm/hot water.

There are never any trick or treaters here where I live, I think the dirt/sand roads might put them off though.

I got 4 and I am thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!

Around 8:30, as I was putting the final touches on dinner (we eat late) the doorbell rang. I sprang to open it, which at my age can be both comical and dangerous. They were tweens (10, 11, 12 years???), two of them appeared to be siblings. All had coordinated their costumes to do a Twilight Vampirish theme. They were adorable!!!!!!!!! I rewarded them generously for climbing our hill and I told them to tell all their friends.

Now, whatever am I going to do with this big bowl of candy?

Send it to me or Ang...

Eeeeek, don't send it to me!!! Send it to Uli!!! I have had the pleasure of seeing Uli, in person, on several occasions. She is tall, thin and gorgeous. If she were not such a lovely person, I would hate her!!! Uli needs to eat more candy, pronto!!!

In the village, the peaceful village...

Eva naps in Angela's Halloween village. Yes, she has a Halloween village. I'm a lucky man, I am.
