I remember a while back a post by Matt (or maybe somebody else) that said that Download Server 2 being shown as "Running" was in error and something else that needed to be fixed. It nearly always shows "Running". Boinc....Boinc....Boinc....Boinc.... |

Then set your managers to not request new work until the cricket graph shows uploads tapering off Donald is correct. Many do not read the boards so any comments here around how to set systems are wasted on the vast majority. Seti/Boinc was built and sold as "set and forget"...It would do the work and communicate without your involvement...all you neede to do was install and away you go. The problem is the 3d outage, its causing systemic issues that weren't fully considered. Cease the 3d outage, get rid of the current set of systemic issues and re-think the problem that you are trying to solve for, the issues and outcomes. |

Someone can report ULed results? My BOINCs can't. But the 'server status page' say, it should be possible. %-( |

Yes, it appears as if some are able to report. I am not one of them, as yet, though... |

Yes, it appears as if some are able to report. That was one of the problems on Friday and Saturday - some few could Report and Download, but most could not. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

No way.. Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site Scheduler request failed: Failed sending data to the peer or Scheduler request failed: HTTP service unavailable BTW. I hope the '1000 results report split' will work properly.. Already 1,700+.. and rising.. |

Posted by Jeff Cobb in Tech news... Upload service is succesfully migrated. We now have over 4TB of space for uploads! Not that we'd ever use that much. There are still a couple of kinks to work out with other minor server migrations. Thus, we will leave the back end (validation, etc) down tonight. The splitters and data service are up. My SETI WU reported. It had already uploaded before the weekend outage. Now Waiting to pickup a WU. I set BOINC to only keep 0.02 days of work on hand. I let the BOINC logic balance out debts between projects. I will get what I need and I don't sweet the details. |

Got this on the single-core machine today.. 2010-09-29 15:43:23|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Requesting 295047 seconds of work, reporting 1 completed tasks That's EDT (UTC -4). And the three new tasks were APs. Since then, nothing but 'HTTP service unavailable' and 'project has no tasks available'. Jeff Cobb wrote in the Technical News Forum We now have over 4TB of space for uploads! Not that we'd ever use that much. Be very careful what you say Jeff, statements like that have a habit of coming back to bite you on the buttocks. Just ask Bill. :-) |

Problem is, Bill never actually said the infamous quote which is often attributed to him. |

Problem is, Bill never actually said the infamous quote which is often attributed to him. LOL, I KNEW someone would come back with that and I had a quiet "odds on" bet with myself it would be you. ;-) |

Problem is, Bill never actually said the infamous quote which is often attributed to him. Funny thing is, I recall seeing him say the 640K one on the news. That was back before Al Gore invented the internet. a 64K maximum was well known and widely adopted as being far more than anyone could ever use. Janice |
