Oops sorry Bill and Peter and every one ... I had to make an edit to my post # 1019535 :)
to say that Peter Tallman, an excellent Mineral Geologist and Prospector had already guessed it ... or at lest given a very good hint ;)

Peter Tallman, wrote the following
Bill, we've got to stop meeting like this. I'd love to stay and have a fine spot of tea with you further on around the corner, but I'm sorry I really really do have to go now. Some other time perhaps?

so with Peter's hint about a "spot of tea" ... I feel soo guilty ... it was too easy for me ... to say that my guess is ;)
BC Parliament Buildings, Victoria, the Capital of British Columbia Canada ;)

sorry, Bill, Peter, ... and every one :-(

Best wishes to ever one :)
Byron

Sorry for the delay everyone. My DSL died yesterday afternoon. The ISP blames Bell, Bell blames the ISP, and I'm stuck using dial-up unitl they sort it out.

Byron, you are correct. Peter's comment wasn't really that big a clue, Canadians do drink tea in places other than Victoria ;).

Over to you Byron.

Add my best wishes for Byron.

Anyway, here is another pix. Half points for the town, but need the name of the bridge for full points.

First hint: possibly the best dim sum on the planet is found at about the centre of this picture.

I believe the literal translation is "small plate"
chinese ... "brunch" usually, you pick what you want from a large variety
of delicacies and pay according to the number/color of the plates.

Steam pork buns, "chicken paws", tarts.... good stuff.

Around my home town (Trieste) a "giardinetto" means salame, prosciutto, cheese, boiled eggs and sausages, both Vienna and kranski.

Not Ontario. Soft^spirit is right on about dim sum. A wonderful way to waste a few hours and gain a few pounds.

Skildude, to be fair Edmonton is one of the cities that makes that claim, but I think they are wrong.

Chris, Victoria isn't on the prairies.
