Doesn't matter, just look at your map. When Im travelling south I have no problem reading the map,My wife on the other hand just cant grasp that you read a map opposite of going north. Now I hope I never get one of those cheater maps that do that for you. That would totally screw me up. [/quote] Old James |

And how do you translate "microprocessor"? In Italy we say "microprocessore" although the verb "processare" means to try someone in a judicial court. The right word is microprocesador, and you cannot misunderstand its meaning. Of course, it is a word formed by other two words---> micro and procesador. Micro is a prefix. It is used before the root of the main word. In this case procesador. The verb "procesar" has some different meanings. In this case, it is the capability of doing something following some existing route, way, order or algorithm. An example is a "procesador de textos" which is a tool or program that deals with a text by editing it. |

Oh, I just love it when they say something or other 'kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses' that means of the 1e6 there only 1e3 are left - and the ones killed are usually the harmless ones on top... Well you need faith. Trusting in the average person to be intelligent is a doomed enterprise (current company excepted - we are far from avarage...). Why do "slow down" and "slow up" mean the same thing? |

Why do "slow down" and "slow up" mean the same thing? Round these parts using "slow up" would label you as a rural type. Along with "hang a left" instead of "turn left", or "hang tough" for "wait a bit". Also, discussing the merits of round hay bales versus square hay bales would probably get labeled rural. |
