Something is broken. Getting CPU tasks when I shouldn't.

I found SETI had downloaded a wu and it was running. I checked the system, yes, SETI is there using 25% of my CPU's, (quad core system). I checked my preferences just now and can clearly see on my 6.10.56 system... Use CPU Enforced by version 6.10+ no ...hence, I surmise, something is broken. The fact that SETI will not run on this machine is unimportant to me, it has a 0% quota, it SHOULD be running SIMAP 24/7 on all 4 CPU's - it was NOT, hence I suspect something is broken. AFAIK, a resource share of 0% is how a project is specified as a backup project so SETI WU's will be downloaded if there are no SIMAP available. F. ID: 1012740 ·

Hence, with 0 share shouldn't be asking for SETI. That's a MB CPU task there, so the no CPU option also failed to work. Maybe app_info getting in the way? Somebody with more experience should be able to say whether the problem has occured before. Defenitively some sort of bug, but if it's a one off it will be difficult to chase. If you are running optimized apps, they override the settings on the web site. i.e. if you have an optimized app entry in your app_info.xml file for the CPU, BOINC will request work for it, even if you say "Use CPU no" on the web site. Your Nvidia system seems to be running stock indeed. Check the data/projects/seti directory of the ATI system for an app_info.xml file. See here for reverting to stock, should you find you have one (and wish to change that). If you don't have one - congratulations you've found a bug ;) BTW, Seti on 0 resource share, a CPU only system and no CPU option seems a rather strange setup.
