One of the concerns that has come up in all the threads about the recent outages and "upgrades" is that the capabilities of the active S@H participants has far exceeded the capabilities of the S@H servers to keep up with our productivity. Short of a major upgrade/expansion to the S@H servers, this may be one of the few options available to them. But if it makes the servers more stable and less apt to crash when they are processing our upload/download requests, I can live with that. This will probably impact the high-volume crunchers the most. So the question becomes: how will they adjust to the extra days of server outage? And I think the master/replica servers are pushing their limits. Downloads sometimes abort. It does seem to be catching up.. slowly.
