Reading another thread made me wonder what good beers I am missing out on. Jason_G says have a cold Australian Beer and I thought Fosters? I bet not...But what other good beer comes from Australia? What good beer comes from where you live? Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound! |

What good beer comes from where you live? Well I believe it's owned by fosters, and closely related to 'VB' (victoria bitter) Crown Lager... Here is a Forum with a slight difference. For one thing, people seem much more polite. ;) Sorry if I rubbed you the wrong way.... Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound! |

If I travel to Massachussets, I found a German beer I really like. It is something like 13% alchohol. EKU 23 is the name. Very good! Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

There is another one from Dogfish Brewery called World Wide Stout. It is close to 20%, but as yeast can't be active at that concentration, I suspect there is some distillery going on. One 12 oz bottle will give you a nice buzz. Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

We have a couple of local microbreweries that make Belgium style beers up to about 14%. Under local laws, you can't call that beer, so they have to market it as "sparkling barley wine". |

In that case, My uncle runs some micro brewery out of Tilburg - Holland. 27 kinds last time I checked, including chocolate beer & a champagne-like beer ... I can't pronounce the name unfortunately, but stayed quite warm during my last visit ~2000. "Living by the wisdom of computer science doesn't sound so bad after all.
