I was finally able to order a new motherboard for my Dell 530s, I managed to break something while transplanting it from the original case to a new one. Intel BOXDG43GT LGA 775 Intel G43 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard Now I can get my other computer back up and running and move the Q8200 back into my bedroom. Waiting on a new Debit card really slowed me down. ![]() |

the USPS does not require the 9 digit zip to get something to you. Once a piece of mail reaches its city designation its divided into zip codes, and thn further to routes. While having the extra 4 digits will make it easier to route your mail it isn't vital to getting it there Next to the beer? So a mail run could also be a beer run? I lived up at the Grand Canyon for a 3 years, we only had PO Boxes, mine was PO Box 492, my zip was 86023-0492. UPS, FedEx and DHL all delivered to our central warehouse and then we had to go pick up the package from there. Luckily I have a actual mail service out here, it is a contractor but that is still better than having to go somewhere to get my mail. All the services deliver to my home as well. ![]() |

So what you are saying is everyone has the same physical address of the Market/Post Office and the only difference is the +4 to show them who the mail is for. We do ship to PO boxes as I take the time to take all the boxes to the Post Office but it is a hassle when FedEx or UPS will pick up in a timely manner. To have to pay someone to fight traffic to wait in line and all that would add quite a bit to your shipping. That is why so many don't, it isn't because they are jerks.... BTW most if not all delivered goods offer you a "comment" section or attn line. you could use that line to add your full zip code. I'm also very aware of odd mailing distributions. I knew a guy from Kentucky whose family name was their address. they were so far off the track that they had mail delivered by name because the people of the town didn't have any real streets. ![]() In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. I found that same 2nd pic when I looked earlier. Never knew those kind of adapters existed. I'm not thinking about getting something like that to do some playing around. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours ![]() |

I dunno, every notebook I've had for the past 12 years .... the first thing that goes on them are those built-in WiFi modules. At least now-a-days, they're cheap :-) |

If you insist on getting online stuff try getting a PO box That's the problem Skildude, all he has is a PO Box. His town is so small they don't have a mail delivery service to their door. They have to pick the mail up in the local saloon or general store like in the old westerns on tv. ![]() PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

@SJ Do you really have to go with the older 2-PCB version of the GTX295?? These seem to be far more prone to one of the GPUs having memory problems and returning lots of errors crunching with CUDA. The single PCB version seem to be far more reliable in this respect (though FiveHamlet seems to have scored a dud or two). Since you won't be buying "new" - no RMA. That's quite a risk. F. ![]() |

@SJ I really can't believe that the fan speed cannot be controlled in the newer version. Hopefully someone who runs them (Dave [FiveHamlet]??) can confirm one way or the other? F. ![]() |

I have two later model GTX295's..single board. Fan speed is completely controllable via the EVGA Precision tool. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |
