Well I repaired the 12v pci-e wire on the used 850w Corsair psu today with some heat shrink tubing, Sure It's Black and not Yellow and the yellow wire is a little sooty, But the wire is fixed, I used a tool like the one found at FrozenCPU(to get the wire off the pci-e connector), a pocket knife, scissors and a long reach bic lighter, So the 850w psu is repaired and ready for service. The actual tool that I used is Here.

You know for 12 volts, ordinary scotch tape would do.

There was a loose piece of wire in there too, Besides scotch tape(I gather You men cellophane tape) isn't meant for this task and since I had the materials and tools at hand I did the repair properly. In any case the deed is done and there is no possibility of any shorts being caused by the formerly exposed wires.

If you used a bic, you didn't have the proper tools, e.g. a heat gun. Hope you didn't melt the insulation off and now will get a short. Yes, everyone does it in a pinch, but about half the time it will result in a failure sooner rather than later.

Back in 101 Angela lamented the fact that she was suffering from Insomnia way too often. So it's now her club. :-)

All this time I thought You were the Queen of Hearts, and sometimes a Joker pops up. ;)

You don't want to joke with a bull. They probably don't have the same sense of humor that you do.
