The Seti@Home Boinc Windows Graphics Version has a static banner. This part of the screen does not move, hence defeats the purpose of having Seti@Home as a screensaver, because it will still burn my screen. Please remove the banner or at least make the banner move every now and then. ariesmcrae@hotmail.com |

I have following thoughts: 1. If you use the screensaver, it slows down the processing time. 2. You can still go into the screen settings and turn the monitor of after a given time. 3. I'm not sure burning in of screens is still a problem. Greetings from Belgium. |

Screen burn is still a problem but it is reduced so much in modern monitors that it can usually be ignored. Setting the monitor to shut off will help this also. John Keck BOINCing since 2002/12/08 |

Just delete or rename the better_banner.jpg and it should remove it from the graphics screen. C:\Program Files\seti.BOINC\projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu\better_banner.jpg |

You would have to replace it with an empty graphic. John Keck BOINCing since 2002/12/08 |
