thought i would throw this in since it could someday deal with number crunching is the memresistor, its been about a year since it was first announced that Hp first produced a functional memresistor, but could the new power of the memresistor soon could be used to help crunch for seti projects?or even other projects?

if i knew exactley i would say ,but i think it would be more used for storage i guess as i read on it,so seti i guess wouldnt need as much space reserved for hard drives and have more space allocated to processor power.just curiuse on what may become of this new tech down the road

Well, it will make a difference on SETI@home as soon as the optimized apps are available for neuromorphic computer architectures.

"neuromorphic"

Definition: A Power Ranger that has a mental and emotional disorder that affects only part of the personality, is accompanied by a less distorted perception of reality than in a psychosis, does not result in disturbance of the use of language, and is accompanied by various physical, physiological, and mental disturbances (as visceral symptoms, anxieties, or phobias)
