Cant jam my uploads through. May I suggest a minimum 2-day work buffer. Gosh, I just don't want to run out of work. You guys are doing such a great job! |

My uploads have been slowly going through the last hour or so. It does seem to be getting a little better. |

I uploaded a bunch of tasks from my laptop last night, a bit slow going but they got there in the end, plus a few sporadic uploads from my Desktop today, again slow going, but eventually uploaded without fuss. Two more results coming in the next quarter hour. Let me see how those fare. Keep up the great work, Matt and all! - Luke. |

What is maxing out the SETI@home Internet connection? See this graph. Since the connection is currently a 100Mbps connection, you can see as of this writing that the connection is maxed out and could be causing all of those upload troubles. |

i've got 70+ units ready to upload, but even manual updates are 'deferred' permanently, it seems... |

Maybe that's why I haven't gotten any new work in about a week. Or, it could be BOINC itself doing it. I'm on multiple projects, and when I get work units from one, I get nothing from anyone else unless I suspend that particular project. Check your "resource share" settings for your projects it may be that one project is banking-up time too quickly with your current settings and your BOINC console is compensating by giving one project exclusive run-time when it has work. Not that this is necessarily a malfunction - In my own case I've set up BOINC to do exactly that when some work comes in from the LHC. (Sorry Matt.) |

I have been adjusting my resources periodically(based mostly on the size of the projects). Seti@Home gets as much of a chunk of my resources as Einstein@Home and ClimatePrediction.net which are huge! Two others(Spinhenge@Home and MilkyWay@Home)get half that, and Orbit@Home gets even less. My machine is one of those basic home computers running XP Home. Since I have always on Internet access through my cable company, I figured it could be doing something since I rarely shut it down. BTW, I finally got several workunits from Seti@Home earlier today. |

No real need to do this. Set the resource shares the way you want them to be over the long term (and with CPDN, it can be the VERY long term). BOINC will work it out. BOINC WIKI |

Not sure who/what to blame. Linux? SATA? USB? The enclosures? The cables? The drives themselves? I resemble that remark. Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

Actually speaking of Misfit, who is misfit's avatar? The face seems familiar, but I can't place what movie it's from. Also: don't blame Canada. Blame our Prime Minister, Harper. Please. The more you blame him for, the better the chance the twits in my province will actually vote against him next election. *grumble* I swear, if you painted a pig blue, and ran it for election, they'd elect it in this province... */grumble* |

Oh the things you learn. Give me Nicole DeBoer instead any day. Not that I'd stalk, or even have seen everything my "fave celebs" have done, or really even know all that much about them... ...hmm. Guess I'm not the crazed fan type. :D I take it I'm a little late to the game around here. Seems most of the regulars all know eachother! (And have RACs than me!) |
