Bill, at the risk of damaging GREAT U.S.- Canadian relations, could you possibly keep the weather to yourselves, and quit sending MYway?(lol)

It's still February, it's still winter, and it's freezing outside...AGAIN.

Well, your prez and our PM were just talking about sharing climate responsibilities......

If it makes you feel better, it really sucks here too.

It's 22°F and the stars are shining brightly. Got 6 inches of new snow on Wednesday night and another inch fell last night. So the snowshoes are in the car and I'm heading for the mountains in the morning. Looking forward to making some tracks in all this new white stuff.

Basically crap here. Several inches of snow and high winds all night, not too cold now but the wind makes it feel that way. And the snow continues.

Dug out one car and a small path from the door this morning so the wife could get out to a Big Sale - it's all about priorities. After I send this I'll fire up the snow eating monster and finish the driveway.

Yesterday was beautiful in New Hampshire. Blue skies and the temp was around 30°F. I was snowshoeing in the mountains breaking trail in a foot of fresh powder. It was wonderful! Today is a different story. 33°F right now and snowing like crazy. The weatherman is being a bit vague about how much we’ll get and is predicting 6-13 inches of new snow.

I like your posts better than I like our local weathermen and their forecasts. With your posts, I know exactly what is going to happen within 12 hrs. With them(weathermen) it's hit or miss.

Thanks Bill

Well the weather is picking up here, must be Monday (see joke below). Much less wind, very little snow, and a promise of warmer weather in a few days.

Old joke: In Canada, what name is traditionally given to the first day of really nice weather following two or three days of really bad weather? Monday.

Just came in from shoveling out the 8 inches of snow we got last night. My neighbor cleared the end of my driveway with his snowblower for no particular reason. That was nice of him. I paid it forward by shoveling my other neighbors front walk since it seems that they didn't get a chance to do it themselves. Anyway, it's not too cold here today. It is partly cloudy and holding at about 30°F. But it is very windy and the new snow is starting to form drifts in places.

Ha! That's not cold! The weather here, as our east coast citizens might say, is some cold boyo.

The good news is that it is clear and sunny, and the temperature should pick up nicely.

Interesting news story in this morning's paper. The snow started so early last fall that the weather department was not set up to track the amount until several weeks after it started. Officially, we are currently at 2.5 metres accumulation (compared to a long term average of 2 metres per winter), but that doesn't include two weeks of snow in October, or the 4 to 6 weeks we could still have ahead of us.
