Could you try to update to the latest version that Nvidia has? Here's a direct link, they're the 179.28 drivers. (beat to it by Byron, but I was simultaneously keeping the devs up-to-date) |

so far the dell direct driver is the only one that seems to work/install. every other one I try I get "The NVIDIA setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. setup will now exit." |

Just try a manual install. The *.exe which you downloaded is a self extracting archive with autorun function for setup.exe including in this archiv. Maybe you decompress it by right-clicking -> extract to ... You should have a application installed like 7-zip (maybe included windows-zip works too). After extracting try to manual update your drivers by going to device manager -> grafic card -> right-click choose properties -> driver -> driver update. Here choose 'driver from computer' -> navigate there where you have decompressed the nvidia package. |

Just try a manual install. This was on the right track. I ended up getting a modded inf file from laptopvideo2go.com that would let me update my driver to a newer version. I wish i didn't have to do that but dell doesn't seem to think a video driver from aug is old. Thanks for your help! |

I'm getting the same computation errors, but add in a display driver crash every 15-20 work units errored out. It was working fine until 2 days ago, then it started having this problem. After it started doing this, I upgraded to the latest development version of BOINC and updated the nvidia drivers and still have the same problem. Also, at around 12 seconds CPU time, my whole display freezes for around 5-10 seconds before the unit ticks up 1 more second, then says computation error. I have Windows XP 32 bit. 1120423299 Name 08no08ad.26451.7026.13.8.135_0 Workunit 394241928 Created 12 Jan 2009 14:59:37 UTC Sent 12 Jan 2009 16:36:48 UTC Received 25 Jan 2009 21:45:54 UTC Server state Over Outcome Client error Client state Compute error Exit status 1 (0x1) Computer ID 1300231 Report deadline 4 Feb 2009 22:40:08 UTC CPU time 13.15625 stderr out <core_client_version>6.6.2</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> Incorrect function.
