How pretty, snow on the palm trees.

I think someone finally realized they have a problem near your house with moisture (this can be a real problem to track in the desert as you can only find the problem when it is actually raining).

Yep and around here the phone lines are buried in the snow covered ground. Only power is up on poles. And getting Verizon to admit that is nearly impossible, Worse than pulling teeth, Blame customer for all problems must be their policy I'd think.

It is their policy we had no problems with C&P who was the phone company before Verizon. Have you seen those Verizon commercials where their employees by the thousands and cranes and helicopters etc are in the background and the other phone company has cut outs standing in for employees well it's the other way around in reality
Screw Verizon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nah, I just checked out NetzeroDSL(they top out at 1.5 down), I like DSL Extreme better as they go up to 7.1/768K at all 4 street addresses that I'm interested in(Adelanto CA), As I'm getting a USDARH 33yr Mortgage from the USDA(It's been determined that I can afford only a $52,000.00 Mortgage) and $24.95 a month for 12 months @ 3.0/768K is better than Verizon DSL at the same speed and Versions price is $31.99 a month.

Hey thanks Joker I just switched to DSL Extreme pro for 27USD and I can run a server with Verizon you can not run a server and with DSL Extreme I can run my mail server they will unblock port 25. Net Zero blocks port 25 and I can not use my mail server service from dynDNS and now with this new DSL Extreme I can run my mail server. Nice work Joker for the recommend. I get a free modem also.

My weather now at 644PM ZIP 24501 is 44 and rain. We get a lot of rain in the fall and winter and spring but dry in the summer. Suppose to be in the 60's tomorrow we can have this type of weather in early January also with 40 or 50 in late Jan to Feb.

I think you got a tech who didn't know .........., and that was twice. (I will let you fill in the blanks) all they want to do is make you spend money instead of doing their job.
As for today's weather it was 33°F or about 0°C It snowed all day and at times the visibility was less than .25 miles or .40 Kilometers. We have over a foot of snow on the ground at this time with more to come.

Pics!

The weather has gone back to mild & wet here. A balmy 10C this morning and drizzle.

By Tuesday of next week we are expected to go back to Frosty nights and have a generally cold (for here) Christmas coming up.

-10°C today here. Was clear and calm most of the day but I am not liking this cold. :(

The weather people are saying that we (Vancouver) are in line for the first white Christmas in over four decades.

Guess it is time to move to California. :P

Just getting back to normal after spending 6 days without power due to a massive ice storm. Its 17°F and big fluffy snowflakes are falling. A foot of new snow fell last night and another foot is expected tomorrow. It looks like we'll be having a white Christmas here!
