Rape victim stoned for adultery. I have to wonder how long the world can put up with this thinking in the name of Allah. |

All religions have their bad times and people. http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/salem/salem.htm We need to understand that this is a small group of muslims without education. Their religion is nearly the same as the other big 2. Respect the religion as a whole and work towards education is all we can do. We need to remember that we also have to education ourselves. Remember to not pick one god over another. And we need to earn the world's respect again. Without that we have no real power. Every great civilization fails when out of fear they over reach. The romans are a great example of this. That said. This is sick. I read it the other day. All I could think of was how good of a job we have done trying to force the spread of democracy across the world. Great job all around everyone. Chris. |

All religions have their bad times and people. Pick a God? Jews, Christians and Muslims all have the same God, there is only one God! Or did you forget that? The US should stop trying to impose its system on others. What works for us works because we have a shared common background. Without that it doesn't work. The mistake of Vietnam being repeated in Iraq. I wonder what those democracy imposers would do if a country in an open and free election democratically elected a dictator and threw out their constitution? Yes, what happened to this innocent girl is sick. The sickness is that people honestly believe that God commands them to do some stuff, forbids other stuff and commands humans to make judgments in God's name. If God didn't want us to do it we can't. A prime example is move faster than light. Gary |

"Pick a God? Jews, Christians and Muslims all have the same God, there is only one God! Or did you forget that?" I hope that is sarcasm. Lets not forget for thousands of years many civilizations believed in polytheism. There is just and much proof for polytheism as there is for monotheism. Chris. All religions have their bad times and people. |

If God didn't want us to do it we can't. Yes you can. It's called free will. But there's also a hell to go along with some of that free will. I'll let Jeffrey continue with the details. me@rescam.org |

If God didn't want us to do it we can't. You make the assumption that God hasn't prevented us from all things he doesn't want us to do. At least I assume you believe your God is all powerful so he could arrange the laws of physics to actually prevent us doing, even thinking, anything he did not want. You are making an assumption that would apply if God were limited in his power. Let me cite four things we actually can't do. Travel faster than light. Walk through walls. Live forever. Time travel. I'm sure you can think of more. If God was able to arrange the Universe for those four why assume he didn't arrange it for all things we are not supposed to do? I'm sure being all powerful he could make it so our brains could not think of the things we are forbidden to do. He might have a preferences list but we can't do what is actually forbidden. This about all powerful God is where I wanted Jeffery to go, but he won't play. |

"Pick a God? Jews, Christians and Muslims all have the same God, there is only one God! Or did you forget that?" I was trying to point out that all three religions all have the God of Abraham as their God. Each only has different interpretations of what the God of Abraham wants and how to do that. |

All ok. Sorry for not understanding. Chris. "Pick a God? Jews, Christians and Muslims all have the same God, there is only one God! Or did you forget that?" |

I thought that it was recently discussed that the Quran said that Allah gave a commandment that said "Thou shalt not kill". So killing in the name of Allah is impossible. Also why would a girl be punished for being victimized? That's like somebody coming over, hitting me in the head with a 2x4, and then the police coming over and taking me to be shot by the firing squad for being injured. What religion supports that? Not anything I would believe in. |

Not anything I would believe in. Are you sure that you don't believe in it? It is Mosaic law. Jesus did have an answer for it however. I know some Christians don't believe in the ten commandments any more. Personally I don't think anyone gets a free pass on sin. I fully agree with your thinking about being a victim twice. If there is justice those who cast stones will spend eternity with flaming brimstone raining down on them. |

We used to burn women for being witches here, but at least we officially stopped in 1693, when the last woman, Anne Palles, was burned for sorcery. She was granted by the king to be decapitated before her body was burned on the stake. Before that, they were burned alive. So no, we have not been different but at least we stopped. That the US still has the death penalty as a valid punishment for crime makes it a little less different than Somalia than the EU nations, Canada and a few others. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

If God didn't want us to do it we can't. I never said man's free will can violate the laws of physics. So in relation to that your paragraph of assumption is of itself invention. me@rescam.org |

If God didn't want us to do it we can't. Are not the laws of physics God's laws? I know without them we nor ET could exist. Since our existence depends on them it seems like this is where God would lay down the law. He may have other things he prefers us to do and not to do but they don't seem to have the same force of law that he put into physics. He obviously can make anything as hard and fast and the laws of physics. Why wouldn't he make all his laws like this? |

If God didn't want us to do it we can't. "Let me cite four things we actually can't do." You mean can't do.... now. "Why wouldn't he make all his laws like this?" To know the mind of God you would have to be God. Hence there will be questions humanity will never be able to answer. You may not even know the proper question. me@rescam.org |

I've heard somewhere that nobody is free of sin, and he/she must ask the Supreme Being to forgive them for their sins and to run their life. Otherwise there is no chance of being saved from hellfire. |

why you believe to something that just don´t exist, life is just easier when you don´t have to believe vengeful god´s |

It's easier not to buy a home or rent an apartment. So when you're homeless and hungry let me know how easy things are for you. me@rescam.org |

that is actually much harder, it is easier to work and rent apartment than be homeless, did try that one time when i broke up with a girl. but there was no reason to pray either, and has your imaginary friend ever helped you, and if he has, say next time that he should concentrate not you but to those much bigger problems in a world which he has created by letting things go out of hand or being lazy. |
