This is an interesting question you've posed. One can't help but think that we must be somewhere in the "middle of the galactic ladder" for numerous reasons. This of course going on the concept that there is indeed life outside of our solar system. (That is a different debate all together.) I can't help but think that we as human beings must be the middle class of the universe. I'm sure the first signs of "ET" to be found will be microbes from an asteroid or collected from samples from another planet or moon. But then again, there must be "aliens" or "Extra Terrestrials" both larger and taller then our average human being. At any rate, its an interesting read if you have the time.
