Message 817143 - Posted: 11 Oct 2008, 19:00:44 UTC - in response to Message 816713.

More than just having lucid dreams, I am a Lucid Dreamer (I always know when I am dreaming and I have complete control over the dream world).

Oh, and not only is it in color, but its also in 1920x1080p! :)

Hey! Isn't that called "Second Life"?

For myself for when I can remember, the dream memory can be visual B&W or colour, or, it can be just merely a 'feeling' or sense of something.

Do you dream in color?

Usually mostly dark colour, with highlighted reds & oranges. Not the bad kind of red, the good kind (i.e redheads & explosions, rather than blood.). Occasional lucid dreams, ~twice or three times per year, usually triggered by pizza ('n beer).

I too can take control of my dreams sometimes or wake myself up, if I don't like the direction they are taken. Occationally I pick up the next night, where the previous one left of.

I had that happen once, before I learned to take control of my dreams. I remember the first part very vividly, unfortunately I can't even remember the second part anymore, but I remembered it after it happened.

I was told the best way to have a dream in sequence is to think nothing but the events of the previous dream and that you would increase your chances of having a sequel.

Thank you for the reminder Ozzfan, I think that is what it takes.
But since I haven't had a dream since Mark started this thread, it may be awhile.

Hey Mark!!! :]]

That's an interesting topic you put up here!

Most of my dreams are in color, but I have the occasional black and white dreams just like you have. I can control my dreams, but I only have that ability on rare occasions and with bad dreams. That makes me think that it's some kind of protective mechanism.

I'm also a "Sky Plunger". It happens very rarely, but sometimes I feel during a dream that while being on my back I suddenly plunge straight down for hundreds of feet. That gets my adrenalin pumping to the point that I usually wake up. LOL

My best dream was that I was in "the Garden of Eden". That's what I think it was, anyway. It was just so profuse, colorful, fertile beyond belief...almost heartbreakingly beautiful...that I wanted to stay there forever. Try as I might, I just could'nt remember what it looks like and I could never manage to get there again.

But at least I got to go there once! :]]

I've had dreams in glorious technicolour. I always dream in colours. I've had lucid dreams as well. I would like to find the secret of dreaming lucidly all the time, but cant' really manage it. It would really be fun and yes, they would be in colour.

I dream in color, and I fly - but not often. More often I fall.

I haven't flown in decades, yet still remember the last time, like it was yesterday. Then again I have not had a nightmare in decades either. I do fall, but always manage to wake myself up.
I read somewhere, if you die in your dream, that is it.... Don't quite know, how they came to that conclusion.

I dream of moving upward towards a very bright white light, but waken just before I get there...

Odd that before I became religious, I had dreams of fighting against an intense downward pull... ;)

(Sometimes I fly and fall too, and that's kinda fun.)

. . . In ancient Greece, sick people slept in special temples designed to incubate diagnostic or curative dreams. Later, famous psychic dreamers such as Edgar Cayce suggested a link between dreams and information about our physical health. Some scientists suppose that, during sleep, we may have greater access to information about the state of our bodies, which may be incorporated into our dreams. (For example, germs loose in the body may be represented as insects or other pests running loose in our house. Or a high fever may be depicted as a fire raging out of control.) When we are awake, there are hundreds of external stimuli competing for our attention. While we sleep, on the other hand, we may shut out the external stimuli in favor of internal ones. Maybe this allows us to pick up on very subtle signs of bodily infection or distress

I don't want to control my dreams.

Most of my dreams are remnants of what happens in my awake life, and I rarely remember them. The dreams I remember are messages to me from my sub-conscious self and from my Higher Self, and I want to get those messages un-censored or altered by my conscious self.

I dream in color, B&W, and have had the same dream many times, with different outcomes. I can't remember most of the details, but the same places and happenings do pop up from time to time. Kinda weird, huh??

As a child, I had nightmares, and would be so scared that I wouldn't move in bed for hours, lying awake, looking at the clock. I always thought that there was a monster in my bedroom, trying to get me. To this day, I can't watch any horror movies. In fact. I rented I am Legend, and had to turn it off about half way thru. I know, big baby...but my mind starts to go to work after I fall asleep, and I don't like the lingering thoughts after I wake up in a cold sweat...
