the US Military and the US Government is sworn to uphold and protect the constitution of the United States

Since they have sworn in on the very book that condemns swearing, we should have nothing to worry about... ;)

Federal appointees and military inductees have the option of stating "I solemnly affirm" rather than "I solemnly swear". As I recall from my own induction ceremony, a fair number did just that. We were not required to use a Bible or any other sacred text.

I have heard the speculation from at least a dozen people that they think if Obama wins, he will be assasinated.

Point of clarification: I am voting for Obama. I do not support this idea nor am I encouraging it. This is just speculation I am hearing from within the groups I associate with. There are too many wingnuts out there who simply will not accept an African-American in the Presidency.

Obama has at least two strikes against him that vilify him toward certain individuals and groups. He's a mulatto and his father was once a Muslim. A possible assassination attempt if he takes office is a real possiblity. (Crunch the numbers)

Also even though My mother never took the Catechism, She could have been Catholic as She went to a Catholic school where a thoughtless Nun put the idea into Her mind that If She couldn't get pregnant that She could not have Sex at all, So when Mom had a Hysterectomy She said She couldn't have Sex with Her Husband(My Dad) anymore and everyone around Her said She could, But to Her that was impossible, She didn't have plastic surgery to remove the birth canal and So She could of had sex with any Man and Yet It was all in Her head, She professed Her love for My Dad and Yet drove Him off cause He was right and She was in need of Help and wouldn't see It or allow It, She just went in what is called Doctor shopping for a Doctor Who'd agree with Her part-self imposed lie.
