So what is your idea or what have you done to stop china from being a monster to these people and to the people of Taiwan?

Personaly I do not think we should have free trade with China. I think trade is the best way to handle this. I think free trade justifies or helps China's nasty actions. I don't believe that their government will use the new money to help change their system. I think they will use it to do more nasty acts. I don't remember having free trade with Red Russia during the 40 odd years of the cold war. I wonder what would have happened if we moved our factories (along with the rest of the world) to russia during the cold war.

I agree that yelling in the streets does not always work. But what other ideas are there?

I doubt that you are so innocent and blinkered that you know nothing of Tibet and the Tibetans.

Just in case you haven't noticed, very many Tibetans have died an unduly early death. Many are incarcerated at the 'pleasure of the Chinese' for merely existing on land that the Chinese have taken for themselves...

Odd. You seem perfectly happy to use gov't force when you agree with it, yet you have a problem with the Chinese using gov't force that they happen to agree with. That's quite a discrepancy you've got going there.

Raise money and run advertising. That's extremely expensive, but corporations do it every day--it's likely the most effective way to get people to put their money where their mouth is."

Those campaign ads you see run during political races? Hire Madison Ave to create well-crafted position pieces that will convince others of your position. Use those to raise more money and then pressure the hell out of politicians.

Patting yourself on the back about posting here is a waste of time.
