Looks like it got stuck. Perhaps someone at Berkeley will help it through the system when they see this.

Stay cool. It looks to me, like a Data base error or something else. Eric and the crew is working hard at the moment to work things out.

I pulled the trigger on this one and am looking for similar problems.

Or more likely, the transitioner lost track of the Workunit, the individual tasks or both.

If anyone else has workunits that were caught in the "database problems" please post information to the Result.

I will let Eric and Matt know there are more that are being found.

Regards

Al

Well last time we had a spate of this kind of thing, Eric's magic script (run daily) sorted the problem. We know he's on the case from his earlier posting so I don't see it as a long-term problem.

Yep, it's happened before and was the main reason for the backend processes which were created to clean up the 'Zombie Workunits' (as Matt called them).

Typically, it happens when the BOINC Database starts getting overstressed, problems crop up, or the team starts pushing the envelope trying out new stuff.

Seems to me like all three have applied off and on in the last couple of months. ;-)

Here is 1 of mine:

Hmmm...

Well, given there is major DB work and other stuff going on in the background, I'm reluctant to classify 2 days waiting for purge as being a Zombie at this point. ;-)

Although, you never can tell here in SAHLand. :-)
