I do not need or want your or anybody else's forgiveness.

I forgive you for that comment. I also forgive Knightmare for not reading a particular book.

How odd...an entire thread went away....and I got no notification about my post in that thread being deleted??

Have I misplaced my post??

KM that was my fault (as the thread author.)

I did post my reason for the deletion request in the previous 'spiritual threads' thread prior to it's deletion. Obviously those too have also been deleted.

I've PM'd you my apologies for the loss of your post.

Sarge's thread is just as good a place.

As I said...no worries, Crunchy. Nothing major. Not the first post of mine that's been lost. Certainly won't be the last...lol

Talking about 'spirituality' is a difficult one. Spirituality is not always about 'religion' and does not always fit easily into scientific philosphies. It becomes something that we can't quote too much about or argue politically or intellectually over.

In a way it is an invitation to be personal beyond our everyday realities.

That will always look like a red rag to a bull.

Perhaps a little scary?

At times, it can be scary for those who don't really understand the concept.

SNIP...
At times, it can be scary for those who don't really understand the concept.

So what is the concept?

(For me it's that there are many things in life that can not be quantified.

EG: Some things, however unknown or odd, may be perfect as they are without trying to slap a label on them....)

To me...the concept of it is..

Something that brings you peacefulness, but yet " moves " you. Be it religion, music, or ( like me ) just sitting by the lake watching distant fireworks.

Back to the topic.....spirituality........

I for one, came to know God....(my terminology, maybe not yours) rather late in life.......

I was a nasty one in my younger years......did many things that I would be ashamed to admit here........but as I have aged and mellowed, I have come to know that they were wrong, and have asked Him for His forgiveness, which I have no doubt He will grant......one has only to ask......

Those of you who do not believe, I shall forgive, as shall He...........

And those of you who have different beliefs........that is allright too.....
You go with what works for you, I shall not try to convert you to MY belief system..........

Actually it is called "Growing Up" Some just take longer than others...LOL

The 'late bloomers' are usually the ones who all of a sudden become 'wise in their own eyes' and try to force 'everything they have learned' upon others... ;)

Joking and frivolity aside.

Do we all not share with each other the spirit of ourselves when we speak?

What is 'spirituality'?

Is it a sense of value about ourselves and each other that can not be quantified by onlookers, books, history, politics, religion or society?

Can atheists, scientific people, agnostics or religious people be 'spiritual'?

A Tune.

i think the problem is that the terms spirituality, science, religion etc...is always looked at a separated way but actually all terms defines the evolution of a human being till today ,especially for explaining his nature or the environment he lives in, who knows how humans evolve in the next decade ....
