I was going to start this new thread this morning, but ran about 20 seconds short of time before the weekly outage started.......

Dr. Ceti and MzSnowleopard, feel free to start back up with the kitten counting picture.......

I actually used MS Paint and numbered them :-p - counted 9

The origin site didn't help me

where are the other 3 ?

I see a brown one between 5 and 7, and another pair of ears behind 7......

I can't tell if thems kitty ears or kitty feet belonging to # 9

LOL.....I spoke to Dr. Ceti.....and he insists that the original source (from a blog or something) said that it was indeed a litter of 12 kittens.....
And they are a beautiful lot regardless.....wonder if them's Maine Coons?

You could also check out Verismocat.com if you happen to like the breed as much as I do......take some time and click around...they have some beautiful kitty photography on that site!!! Including another litter of 12 Maine Coon kittens.....although I do not believe it is related to this litter of 12..........

'S OK......kitties are alway on topic in the Kitty People thread!

Mine....

Tigger II......The independant....don't bother calling her, she'll just sit there and stare and come when she's darn good and ready. And when she does decide she wants some attention, she likes to gently reach out and snag the skin on your lip to make the point. Your standard orange tabby cat. Got her name from my dearly departed Tigger, who passed at the young age of 5-1/2 from CRF.

Bandit.........The shy and timid one.....don't ask me why, she's always been treated the same as all the others, but she's the scaredy cat. Pick her up and she plays the ragdoll type....softest fur you could imagine. Medium haired tortoiseshell. Got her name from the markings on her face (more pronounced when she was a kitten) with lighter rings around the eyes that gave her the appearance of wearing a bandito mask.

Purrball.......The lover kitty.....just as happy as can be to sit on the couch next to me during my marathon Seti sessions, and when I go to bed at night, she's the one that just HAS to be thoroughly petted before she will let you sleep for the night. Loves to lay there with her paws on you. And not shy about stepping up to the kibble bowl....she's the heaviest one of the lot, at about 18 lbs... Another medium haired torty. Got her name from her first vet visit...she was purring so loudly even on the exam table that the vet couldn't hear her heartbeat...had to dip one of her paws under a faucet to get her to quit long enough to listen.

Squirrel.......The attention hound.....this is the one that simply has to follow you around the house no matter what you are doing, sticking her nose in your business ....she like to snoopervise me when I am working on computers to make sure I am doing things right, occasionally trying to get her paw into the task. The most vocal of the gang.....she will find one of her favorite toys and carry it in her mouth from one end of the house to the other, making the strangest and loudest meowing sounds....but her favorite trick is trying to bring you down to her level by swirling about your feet whilst you are walking... A long haired domestic, brown black and cream....must have a little bit of Maine Coon in her genes somewhere. Got her name from her huge fluffy squirrel tail.

So that's the gang.......

Molly is misnamed. I should have named her Sybil, because it kind-of depends on which personality is in charge, and it can change very quickly.

If I had to pick one word, it would be dominant. She's in charge and she gets what she wants.

She knows that dogs have owners, and cats have staff.

My two:

Chucky - absolute horror. Cries if he doesn't get his own way and is very destructive.

Tiffany - Loves being around people (me), but hates being touched by people!

Who's cats are what???? I'd like to know....

Jake: 12 years old. Still very active and playful. Extremely friendly, and loves exploring, getting into things he shouldn't.

Alexis: 10 years old. Very shy and quiet. Not very sociable to the other pets, and definitely not sociable to humanoids other than myself. Likes to stay in 'her' room and look out the window.

Sas: (Short for Sasquatch) 5 years old. A stray that just showed up one day.... and stayed. Not real fond of the other cats, but tolerates them. Very affectionate but not real interested in toys or playing.

GASP!

Sammi: (Sammi Soso) 9 years old. Ok, ok, so she isn't a cat, but she's an integral part of Scarecrow's Zoo Crew. Incredibly smart, incredibly playful. Has more toys than you can count, and knows each one by name. Diagnosed with diabetes a little over a year ago. I have to give her an insulin injection twice a day. She loves all 3 cats, and they love her too. She's also fond of watermelon.

Because right from a young age he discovered he could shred things with his claws, so I pictured the "Chucky doll" from the infamous film slashing things with a knife, hence his name. (He took the back out of my new leather 3 piece too!)
Tiffany is the "Bride of Chucky" from one of the sequels :D

Look closely in this pic I posted last week and you'll see the Chucky & Tiffany dolls in the cabinet, next to Chucky & Tiffany kitties :D
