The "Jules Verne" is Europe's first Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) to fly to the International Space Station. A very well deserved title. |

Very interesting indeed. However, due to any possible safety or environmental hazards, I think "burying" the ATV at sea is a complete mistake and somewhat irresponsible. When the ATV undocks from the platform, it will take this waste into a controlled re-entry over the Pacific Ocean. The ATV will break up into small fragments. It is currently more cost-effective to use the ATV once, rather than design a spacecraft that can be used several times. Hopefully they'll decide to make the ATV reusable in the near future. |

If you're serious and want to promote the us's of this planet, every opportunity you have to spend cash with 'virgin', {Richard Branson} do. He's our man. |

If you're serious and want to promote the us's of this planet, every opportunity you have to spend cash with 'virgin', {Richard Branson} do. He's our man. Branson is not the only entrepreneur out there working on space tourism. While the technology he's using is more mature than others', it's a dead-end so far as getting people into Orbit. The technology shown here may not be as advanced as the Spaceship One design, it appears to have a potential for going into Orbit (maybe 5-6 versions down the road). Getting into Orbit and beyond is the key to moving beyond the dinosaurs of government funded space travel. |
