I enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities. Basically, anything outdoors that doesn't involve computers, I find enjoyment in. I especially find enjoyment in landscaping and gardening.

My main hobby, from late spring to early fall, is skydiving. I'm not an "adrenaline junkie" though. For me, jumping is a relaxing and social sport.

(Believe it or not, I'm also acrophobic. I couldn't climb a 50 foot ladder if my life depended on it! At 13.5(00), I'm fine though. The ground is just a 2D map.)

Aside from SETI-related endeavors? I guess my favorite hobby is making music. I spend most of my non-work time doing that. I also love reading and writing. Perhaps it doesn't count as a "hobby", because I don't have much choice in the matter (otherwise I go hungry) - but I love cooking. I like to make something really new and elaborate at least once a week. Another hobby I've loved, but haven't had much time for lately: Dungeons & Dragons

that would have worked if you hadn't stopped me

Ahhh, another skydiver here. :-D

This is a pic of me, back when I jumped with my Pc Mrk. I

And yes, I don't like to climb on ladders either, but leaving an aeroplane with a parachute on my back for a nice long free fall is a totally different thing. The ground looks so nice from above, and it's only the last about 300 feet you really feel you are descending. Specially the last about 60 feet before you hit the ground. I remember that feeling well. :-)

My old parachuting club badge I had on the sleeve of my jacket:

Wow,

You certainly pre-date me. The only place I have seen PC's are in books. LOL.

I jumped Mantas through AFF and then went to PD's Sabre.

Do you still jump and have a "home" DZ? I jumped mainly in Raeford, NC and Titusville, Florida -- but being in the military I was able to hit many different DZ's throughout the SE. One of the first things that I did before going on a TDY was to locate the nearest DZ.

Cheers and blue skies...
