Hiya all.....nice work to all who have contributed! We are now at a total of 1278 Setizens (not counting kitties)..... I think right now the best link to click would be the auto selecting link, as it will direct your clicks to the category that needs it. Right now, we have to bring up industry, transport, security, and environment just a little bit to keep up with our population.... So keep up the daily clicks, and let's keep growing!! I am all for keeping the thread here as I seldom visit the Cafe. I suggest, msattler, that as the links are now complete they could go in your signature now and save future typing [for you] or searching for us Setizens :D I agree with this post...Put the links in your sig so I don't have to look so far...Same for any other cities and I will check this thread almost daily and click on any cities I see. Me and the Cafe never seem to get along... Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound!

cerncerncern = Seti@home is now off the WAN and can grow only from visitor clicks. As you are starting to find out, it takes a lot more than mere clicking to have a successful city - it takes a lot of thought, planning and cooperation with other cities to go ahead. My city sits in 19th spot in the ratings and to stay there it takes at least a couple of hours of hard work every day. We also have weekly meetings of all the cities in my circuit where we plan the next week's strategy - to get anywhere you have to cooperate with other cities. A few people have asked questions - I will answer them here: The WAN is made up of more than 400 computers over 3 continents It is controlled from my desk thru 3 computers I do not have to ask permissions - other way 'round - when I say jump everybody asks how high (including the board) The reason I do not run SETI on it is because we handle extremely data critical missions Sorry, but I can not help your own city - if I help you, I have to help everybody else My car is a Maserati (why do you want to know THAT?) Let's make one thing very clear here: The word "cheating" has been bandied about by people that should know better than to shoot off their mouth before they find out the facts. ~ THERE HAS BEEN NO CHEATING ~ To get the 1000 extra population you got from me, I had to go and click 1000 other cities so you could get a return click and these return clicks were then passed thru an XML script so that you would get the right value. Of course, all this was automated, BUT THIS IS HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS. How do you think you can click on thousands of cities every day? If you look at the bottom left of your city's screen, you will find some XML that will let you do this (also a RSS feed). I suggest that these loudmouths go the game's main site, register and then log in and learn the facts. The game's main site is http://www.miniville-site.com/ and I hope they can speak french. EddyL I hope that you do not feel that one individual, who is bent on causing trouble should upset everyone. You did nothing wrong. The person that attacked you attacks everyone that has an attitude of "Helping Seti." That person is wrong! That persons goal is to cause others to also leave Seti. The only real way to combat that is to understand what they are doing and then being informed "ignore it!" Seti City was setup to allow "Seti Users" to have a bit of Fun. Nothing more, the fact that Users have worked to make things more effective is admirable. It is the Seti Users that are being successful. Hiya, fellow Setizens!! We are now up to 1592 in the Seti City. Just want to clear the air on the subject of the link in my sig............ 1. I am linking to the website only....any scripting is on that site, not in my sig. 2. The website and it's scripting are provided by the makers of Mini City....it is their program and there is no cheating involved ....and in fact their admins have contacted me and asked me to recommend that everybody uses that very link to add to the city. Let's continue to have fun with this and ignore the actions of one or two folks who have nothing better to do than to try to cast gloom on the rest of us.
