Hi i have to write it in german because my english is not good enough for this problem.


Hallo, ich habe die Suchefunktion schon benutzt und mir einige Beiträge durchgelesen aber ich verzweifle weil ich nicht weiter komme, zt verstehe ich das englische auch nicht.

Ich habe immer nur das Boinc Logo als Bildschirmschoner, hier meine Einstellungen:






Aber ich habe ja die Software ja so eingestellt das nicht die Einstellungen im Web entscheiden sondern bei der Software - was muss ich noch einstellen das ich den klassischen Bilschirmschoner bekomme.

Das kuriose eben ist das ich bei unserem 2. PC (Win Vista) auch boinc installiert habe und da gehts.
Ich habe boinc bei mir auch deinstalliert und nun die neuste Version drauf (5.10.30) und ich habe bei der installation die 2. option gewählt (shared installation) ich hab keine ati sondern ne nvidia karte achso und Win XP SP2.

sodele kann mir da jemand helfen

Sorry, I have to do this in English as my German is very bad.
When you use the shared installation of BOINC, the screen saver only runs the application graphics for the user that installed BOINC, all others will see the BOINC screen saver. The Show graphics button in BOINC Manager also only works for the user that installed BOINC, for all others it is grayed out.

So the question is, how did you install BOINC? With your own account, or another (administrator) account? (you can answer me in German, I can read it, but best not write it if I want to make sense. :-))

I used on both pcs shared installation
and i istalled it with the admin account und i use the admin account to work on the pc

I did ask one of the BOINC developers a while back what could be done about that and his answer was that sometimes this is the best they can do. If you can see the BOINC logo as screen saver and the Seti graphics through the Show graphics button in BOINC Manager, it should all work as one.

Why it doesn't is one of those questions that will never get answered.
It should be fixed in the next BOINC version though, when series 6 is released, with the series 6 science applications. They have a separate application taking care of the graphics.

ok danke das heißt wohl warten ...
i dont see the "show grafic button" on both pcs on the vista pc the button is grey and on my pc too. but on the vista the screensaver works

ich hasse das wenn es auf einem geht un auf nem anderen net ... grrrrr

Wenn jemand ev doch noch ne lösung hat, bitte schreiben! ev auch ne PN/Email.

Hallo
heute war ich verwirrt weil ich 2 boinc symbole bei der schnellstart leiste gefunden habe daraufhin hab ich nochmals deinstalliert und ich fand einige dateien unter c:/programme/boinc dann habe ich diese auch gelöscht inkl dem autostart und dann nochmals installiert und jetzt kurios kurios habe ich auch den seti@home bildschirmschoner

Hast du den Kennwortschutz aktiviert? Versuch den mal abzudrehen, bei mir ging es.

Problem bei mir ist nur daß ich den absichtlich aktiviert habe, jetzt such ich nach abhilfe..
