Cheer up Guys…

From The Broadway Musical: Annie

The rewritten lyrics of: “Tomorrow”

You know the main line in the song: “The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow”, sung by little 10 year old girl with high voice.

BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR THAT TOMORROW,

I’LL CRUNCH THEM! TOMORROW!
YOU'RE ALWAYS A WU....A......WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice! And I thought I was the only one who sang Seti songs. Nice to know I have some company.

Yup. And flying is the second greatest thrill known to man. Landing is the first! :-)

* Any landing you walk away from is a good one.
* Falling is fine, the rapid stop at the end is the problem.

And a great landing is one where you can re-use the airplane immediately after. :-)

Reminds me of an experience I had. I've never flown a real plane, but I love to fly simulators of everything from single engine Cessna's, to the Space Shuttle and everything in between, especially heli's, but one time I decided to "fly" a Boeing 767 from Douglass International in Charlotte North Carolina in the US, (near where I live) to London's Heathroe airport. Made the "trip" by seat-of-the-pants, trimming out the plane to fly straight and level and only course corrections when I was straying off course (due to the great circle route I was flying). Made it without incident until I was coming in for a landing. Made a perfect approach and touchdown, but one problem... I forgot to put the landing gear down!!! According to the simulator everyone survived and walked away without a scratch, but... well it was a slightly less than "perfect" landing!

You need to go out to the local airport and try a lesson. Warning, it's addictive!

hee hee... 100 years or so ago I got the "Jumbo Jet Piliot" cartridge for my Atari 800 computer. I tried literally for weeks to make a successful trip from point A to point B. I always did something wrong somewhere along the way (yes, like Jim, even an impromptu belly landing). Finally I discovered the way to make it to my destination in one piece. I DROVE there. Turns out if you never left the ground the simulation never said you crashed. So with the stick held forward to keep the nose down, and throttles wide open, I was able to take the overland route and pull right up to the terminal with a successful "flight" under my belt.
