Agreed! Wonderful stuff from everyone. If I may be so bold as to ‘tweak’ my original post to suggest that realism and nature photographs go to Ice’s thread and this thread be feature more abstract and/or documentary type of photography. (edited after original post) |

It was B&W mode, 1600 ISO pushed to 3200, noise reduction off, saturation and contrast to maximum, then cropped and tweaked in Elements 5. Thanks for the info Kenzie. I have no idea what the ISO does and couldn't tell you what value it is on my photos - but I soon will ;) I've been using Paint Shop Pro to reduce and crop my photos, but haven't tried enhancing just yet. flaming balloons |

Now this is what I had in mind, guys! Sunsets, old train stations and the era of steam. Wonderful pictures. *frantically making notes, stealing ideas...* :)) Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

OK, not so much artistic as interesting. I came across this little fellow crossing the road in a Scottsdale, Arizona residential area this June. This was the first Gila Monster I had seen in the wild for almost 4 decades. The critter took almost 10 minutes to lumber safely out of the street while I directed traffic around it. After a short pause for a photograph, the beastie continued out into the desert. |
