Hi hockeytown, and everyone else!

It's too late for breakfast, but how about this for a nice summer snack? Western-style Grilled Cheese Sandwich and a glass of Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice?

Hi Dan!

You're very welcome! While I was out sailing, the postman delivered this copy of "Nobody's Fool", starring Paul Newman. Yippee! I get to watch it tonight!

It's a heartwarming and funny movie. It also stars Melanie Griffith, whom I find sexy and charming, and Jessica Tandy (Miss Daisy, from "Driving Miss Daisy") an actress I like very much. Bruce Willis rounds out the cast as the selfish bigshot in this little town in New England.

Have you seen it?

You know, that's a movie I've heard talked a lot about, but I've never seen it. Let me know how you like it, okay?

This just in...

WASHINGTON - The price of a passport: $311,491 in back child support payments for a U.S. businessman now living in China; $46,000 for a musician with parking tickets seeking to perform overseas; and $45,849 for a man planning a Dominican Republic vacation.

It's the new "No Passports for Scofflaws" policy. Heh, Heh.

And you thought it was just for security's sake?

This just in...

Vikings Row In To Say "Sorry!"

THE Viking warship Sea Stallion rowed in from Denmark yesterday, six weeks after starting out.

And with them came an apology from the Danes, for the havoc their ancestors caused, 1,200 years after those sea raiders set out.

Thousands warmly greeted and cheered the warship to its berth yesterday < in stark contrast with their predecessors.

And a very warm welcome they got, too!

Heyas Champ!

And Good Morning (noon) to you!

Some of those birds are smart as heck. My Macaw, Chass, was as smart as they come. But they absolutely crave your constant attention. As you can see, they can take over your life! LOL

Pilots humour. This is the place for "Funsters". No eating bananas though.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Funny Side of Aircraft Maintenance

Just in case you need a laugh: Remember it takes a college degree to be a commercial pilot, but only a high school diploma to fix one of those commercial jets. Reassurance for those of us who fly routinely.

After every flight, UPS (big brown jet) pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet," which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by UPS pilots (marked with a P) and the solutions recorded (marked with an S) by maintenance mechanics.

By the way, UPS is the only major airline that has never, ever, had an accident.

P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.

P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.

P: Something loose in cockpit
S: Something tightened in cockpit

P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.

P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.

P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.

P: DME (Distancr Measuring Equipment) volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.

P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what friction locks are for.

P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.

P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you're right.

P: Number 3 engine missing
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.

P: Aircraft handles funny. (I love this one!)
S: Aircraft warned to: straighten up, fly right, and be serious.

P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.

P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.

And the best one for last.............

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget
