Or maybe it's noone's business but the guy that owns the bar? This is called 'freedom of association'. It's something that should be a fundamental right. If they want to ban straight men from their bar then that's fine with me. I won't go to such a place just as I wouldn't patronize a place that was unwelcoming to black people or women or white folks....or christians ......or little white black christian midgets.

However, I'd like to visit and see what their test is for what it is to be a straight man..... might be fun and worth the visit.

Scorpions - Wind Of Change

It is no different to what is faced in community and education. There are times when women, young, disabled or black people want to mix, share commonality and even discuss issues that are relevant to them in an environment they feel safe in without interference.

We have mostly accepted this notion now. Though it is still seen by some as a type of segragation even if voluntary (usually by those excluded.)

If this pub is primarily run by gay people for gay people I really don't care.

Plenty of other places to go for a drink... that is unless my local supermarket ban's crazy people :)

I suspect the only problem we will see over this is from those who 'already' dislike gay people.

The only pubs that will become 'hetro only' will probably be those that were already unofficially gay unfriendly but they would still have to prove gays were a nuisance or dehumanised others.

Personally I can't see why the landlord didn't just ban unauthorised group events such as hen or stag nights.

Ah well I suppose it is also good publicity for the only gay pub in town! (Sorry.. me the cynic.)

I saw a documentary on Hogzilla a couple months ago and it was pretty much agreed that it (Hogzilla) was almost impossible to prove but wasn't impossible for it to happen. Domesticated pigs can revert to a feral nature very quickly if released into the wild. They grow tusks and much more coarse hair, gain weight and muscleetc.etc. Combine that with selective breeding and hormone and chemical injections that are done to gain size and weight in Food Chain Pigs .......

*Edit* You'll notice it the New Monster pics, no one is actually touching the Hog and always to the side or in the background. And the boy seems to be hovering above the hog not leaning directly on it. Just an observation.

The one of the boy and his dad standing "beside" the hog? To me it looks like they are in the background with the hog in the foreground. Even the one with the front end loader is kinda oddly composed. I would be very interested if this gets some proper investigation.

I'll be damned if I have to walk 3 mile down the road if I just want a drink from a 'real man' pub.

On the other hand we have a law against discimination here to. Which I took oportunity out of a couple of months ago when a person started a club for lesbians that banned all straight men, gay men, and straight women. So I went there, was denied entrance and called for an armed police escort to go in. It was the first time I have had two cops attentatively looking at me while I emtied a beer:-) Day after it was closed down.

So, since I have been drinking a beer in a lesbian only bar I guess I have become one! *LoL* At least I certainly prefer women:-)

And yes. The pics are real. It's not Hogzilla. It's a new one that is over 1k pounds. 'Hogzilla ' was reportedly only 800 lbs.
