I finished it a few days ago and it was listed in my 'results' section of my account as sucessful. However, I have noticed today that the completed entry has disappeared from the list. I'm not sure if my credit has been affected though.

Any ideas why this might have happened?

This is normal once all the results have been returned to keep the database at a workable size. Your credits are kept as a total number.

Hi, I will try to make this explanation simple, as this confused me for the first few weeks of using SETI BOINC.

Your Results for computer page is a summary of the current results that your computer is working on or has recently returned.

The results will stay here until various events have occured:

1. The quorum of valid results (usually 2) have been returned, and validated, and all others have timed out + about 24 hours from last timeout.

2. All results (usually 3) have been returned sucessfully, and validated + about 24 hours from last sucessful validation. This may occur before all the deadlines have arrived.

Those are the most common ways that results are cleared, but there are others. I have decided not to mention those in this post in order to keep it simple.

All the numbers under Result ID and Work unit ID are clickable, and will give you more information about the other computers in your quorum.

One particular thing that can change this usual behaviour are Ghost Results. See many other recent threads about those!
