I have to appologize for my sarcastic humor and sarcasm et al. Not only is it not always understood as such, but also I shouldn't even be using it. It's inappropriate. I'm not even sure I always have the excuse that I'm haveing some sort of bad day or anything...

I haven't seen any change in my total credits or average credits since about September 2.

Nothing also since september 1st and no news about the validator.
A lot of WU got trashed by many hosts having problem with the new
BOINC version. Those had to be sent out again and it could be long
before we reveive credits for those. I just hope nothing went wrong
during the SNAP APP hang...

I wonder if it is possible to turn on the pending credit page, that should give a clue to the amount of credit we can/will be getting

No new credits here.....but I'm also doing CPDN...and they don't seem to be having any trouble.

My systems ran out of SETI WUs for several days, so I was crunching CPDN WUs exclusively for all that time and my score over there was charging ahead.

Try supporting a second project if you aren't already. It will fill the gap while the SETI system is on its face in a ditch....as it often is.

They will fix it when they fix it and not a minute before. :-)

Hi,
I've been getting credits for BOINC/SETI@Home but not for BOINC/CPDN. My 1 CPDN WU hasn't even start running yet. I changed settings in both SETI and CPDN but CPDN still hasn't started. Oh well.... I only joined CPDN becuase I was running out of WUs to run for SETI. Go figure.... L8R....

This Front Page News answers this threads question.
Thanks for the news update to help keep us informed. Glad to hear that the SNAP is running well. We are all keeping our fingers crossed for you and appreciate you hard work and dedication to the project.

September 8, 2004
Yesterday we discovered that when result files are lost, say due to a restore from a backup (restores involve both the DB and the ULDL directories) the validator ends up in a endless loop. The entire result set for an affected workunit gets ignored and after a while the validator ends up enumerating only affected workunits and is thus in a loop. We turned off the validator when we discovered this. Today we have coded a fix and are testing it in the alpha project. While the validator is off credits are not given but they should show up once we turn the validator back on.

The snap server continues to run well.

still no new credit here (day 3 of posting this message)

Yes, I've read the front page and know they're working on the Validator(which provides the beloved credits).

The same here, but since mid August with no credits. Would be nice to have the pending credits line on each individual be activated.

Hope that loop ("the validator ends up in a endless loop. The entire result set for an affected workunit gets ignored and after a while the validator ends up enumerating only affected workunits and is thus in a loop.) is solved and that we can start receiving credits again.

Anyway, keep up the good work Berkeley guys! Project running ok, also CPDN.

yep. According to the front page the validator is going. I guess we will have to wait a couple of days for all the pending credits to be validated. I suspect the validator box has quite a bit of work to do :)

I have gotten credit for WU's pre 4.05 upgrade. (I.E for my p.c. that's running Win 98SE and won't run 4.05 so is back on SETI classic)

Maybe this will help someone figure just how far back the credits are being given.
