Who cares what time it is The projects down whatever time you are ========== Good Point ... Like it's going to be up if your in a certain Time Zone but down in another Time Zone ... |

The time that is most important is: I still have 58.9 hours of wu's to crunch = 2.45 days Which translats to Wednesday morning about 5AM (Berkeley Time). ========== I'm hooked up to the CPDN Project, the Seti@home Project & the LCH@home Project on all my Computers & I would be hooked to the Predictor Project to if they where up...I have work for as long as I want it. Thats all anybody has to do to get work I know a lot of people want to run the Seti Project mainly & I was like that for awhile. But I've learned to adapt and go with the other Projects just to keep my PC's busy. If the people can't adapt to the other Projects then I guess they can sit & watch a blank Monitor waiting for a WU to Pop up... Go with the flow I say and get in on the other Projects if you want consistent work units and in the end it's a lot less stressful than worrying about where your next Seti WU is going to come from... |

A single CPDN WU gives you at least two weeks (on the fastest systems) worth of work to fall back on. As unstable as things are at S@H, I see this as a necessity! Even though S@H and Predictor have had significant downtime, (while Predictor switches to 4.xx) My machine hasn't been idle since joining CPDN beta a month ago. :) LHC has also been very good at generating work in the short time they've been operational. There's plenty of work to be had people! You just need to diversify a little. :) |

You just need to diversify a little. Just a point of order ... For those of us lucky enough to get into the other projects the diversity is nice. But both LHC@Home and Predictor@Home have had restricted numbers of participants. Though I have to admit that with cp.net available this is not a major show-stopper. The best aspect of this is that we have two projects that are increasing the envelope for BOINC. SETI@Home of course is testing the high workload environment and cp.net the long duration work. With many of us working with 2 or more projects (I am doing all 4 as work is available) we are pushing the integration issues (if there are any) ... Just wanted to point that out that we have a four front exercise going on ... |
