Well, as I see it, if it's not true than so well invented that it could be true, according to this paranoid past-9/11- Home-Security-Act- safety-mania I've read so much about...

[sarcasm on]
When I see a trend, then that passengers soon will have to be X-ray'ed and put all potentially dangerous things into a sealed security box which possibly might be useful as weapons: pens & pencils, key-rings, lighters, nail-clippers, even newspapers, entire handbags etc...
But: what about then with those who know to fight without any weapons? Will they be forbidden to enter a plane to the States???
[sarcasm off]
Account frozen...

I don't know, I don't have them around here. But I got a mail some time ago about some beavers, I'll see if I can find it. Then I'll post it here. It was all about government conspiracy.

EDIT: Found it! Gimme some time for some serious uploading to my Photobucket and to format the text right, ok?

Ok, here it is:

This is actually a true story and the account of the investigation makes it even better...

I hate to disappoint everyone, but I received that email several years ago. The dates have been changed, but it's the same letter!

Still had me laughing me head off. :)

Message 514304 - Posted: 7 Feb 2007, 1:11:19 UTC

Last night on the History channel there was a show on Jack the Ripper.
The show was very interesting and quite graphic, showing clear photos of the women after the fact.
The point of the show was that supposedly Jack the Ripper was an American called Tumblety (sp).
Anybody got any ideas?

I just watched the movie From Hell the other day, and in that movie, Jack the Ripper was a doctor to the Royal Family.

The fact is, no one has anything more than a guess as to who Jack the Ripper really was. That case is one of the ultimate unsolved mysteries.

I thought that Captain Kirk had figured out that mystery on Star Trek.

I wonder what makes this case so interesting, there are many gruesome multiple murders unsolved out there, but everybody knows this one, and a lot of people from different backgrounds seem to want to solve it.

That's a very good question.

I think that maybe the reason people are so interested in this case is due to a couple of things.

1) The murders occurred during a time period in which things like that were not often reported on as heavily as the Jack the Ripper case was.

2) It appeared that Jack was an educated man. People thought it was simply unheard of for a man of high intelligence to be cpapble of the kind of brutality and malice involved in the murders.

These are my own guesses on the matter.

KM, I just posted a good UFO link on the Calm Chaos website. Just look at my post in the UFO section. It deals with the Chicago/Ohare sighting 2 months ago.. :-)

Plenty of theories, KM!

The Royal Family connection has been "explored" countless times. One theory supposes the Queen (Victoria) was persuaded to place a close watch on one of her relatives, to prevent him from committing further murders.

Some "investigators" believe the Ripper was a mason, and was protected by other members of that society.

Some years ago, while working for the London Metropolitan Police, I was shown a book from Scotland Yard's "Black Library", a collection of material from investigations going way back. Apparently, Ripper style murders are quite common, and are usually committed by persons with a very specific psychological profile. Many of the photos in the book were taken at the crime scene. I was nearly sick.

Patricia Cornwell wrote this book Portrait of a Killer where she claims it was the painter Walter Sickert who were Jack the Ripper. He has painted some paintings which can be seen as a murderscene with the victim lying as the Ripper victims were found, and she had some DNA tests done, which was inconclusive, but she is very much into the theories about him being the Ripper. I read the book some time ago, and without being into the finer details, I'd say she might be right. But her theories have met a lot of critics also.
