All seems fine here - apart from my lightbulb failing. BOINCing by candlelight ... the gag's obvious, so I won't. Steve. |

It does seem strange that for some time now, uploads have been successful and downloads have been non-existent (without even any attempt and so no red warning note). Just now the upload/download server has been marked as "disabled", yet uploads continue to be successful. This is even more baffling. Whoops, just as I say that, that server is now apparently OK again. Believe it or not. Everything now seems to be working again - downloads catching up fast!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL ---- Spoke too soon. Got 10 units and back to the old routine - NO WORK FROM PROJECT But everything's still green on the Server Status (optimistically). |

Looks like the UL/DL servers and the splitters are playing a yoyo game with us. As I started this post they were down. A quick check before posting and all is green again. Boinc V7.2.42 Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB, GTX470 |

Attach to another project and go drink some champagne while boinc crunches happily away. It is new years eve! No time to be babysitting your computers! :D-< A member of The Knights Who Say NI! For rankings, history graphs and more, check out: My BOINC stats site |

I'm in the process of using S@H RAC to benchmark a couple of machines. Running out of work will cause the results to be delayed by at least a couple of weeks. Dublin, California Team: SETI.USA ![]() |

I haven't been able to get any either, but don't forget... This is the last day of the year,... The server may have more to do than just Seti... I am sure it will be back up sooner than later... Lets hope so anyway... |

WU's are available - so why can't I have some? I hate to dash hopes of an early recovery from the current round of problems but this information was taken from Berkeley Spring Calendar: "Spring Semester begins Tue 1/9/2007". As an employee of a state university I think it is likely that Berkeley employees will not report for work today and may be out for the rest of the week. I did not find an employee calendar for Berkeley. rockhound Delta-V |

Even though the students are not back to the 9th Jan, the staff are usually in the week before. I know this from experience working as a classroom assistant, the staff have things to do and most university only close on bank holidays. > don't know if (?) it's relevant - though i heard - on the NEWS - that Tuesday & Wednesday were 'declared' a Federal Holiday (for Washington, DC) because of President Ford's Passing / Viewings etc . . . might affect / effect the stasis of Universities etc . . . hope this helps ;) |
