What Iraq Needs, is One Good Rapper!

I want to suggest to President Bush that we should start the music industry going in Iraq right away, especially with Gangsta Rap music.

50 Cents, shown here on the cover of his album, was once shot at nine times.

The idea behind this strategy? Get the violent to kill each other off! Infect them with celebrity and conspicuous consumption! Bring them explicit sex! LOL

Good Morning, everyone!

I'm hunkered and bunkered, stocked with supplies, waiting for the big storm to hit. The generator's set to go if needed and all pets are accounted for.

So I've grabbed a cup of coffee and I'm reading the morning papers...

Michigan Adulterers Beware!

AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE
DETROIT, MICH.

Philanderers beware: spouses caught cheating in Michigan could end up spending the rest of their life in prison. And not the emotional kind. The state’s appeals court recently ruled that extramarital flings can be prosecuted as first-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony by up to life in jail.

"We cannot help but question whether the legislature actually intended the result we reach here today," Judge William Murphy wrote in a unanimous Court of Appeals panel, "but we are curtailed by the language of the statute from reaching any other conclusion."

"Technically," he added, "any time a person engages in sexual penetration in an adulterous relationship, it's punishable; he or she is guilty of CSC I,” the most serious sexual assault charge in the state’s criminal code.

Michigan still lists adultery as a felony, although no one has been convicted of the offense since 1971.

So: Cheating spouses beware! LOL

Speaking of coffee, maybe it's time for Continental Breakfast.

Heyas, Champ!!!

So good to see you, my friend!!! How have you been?

I was a little shocked to discover how much money some of us pay just to read the newspaper daily. This little advertisement in the Windsor Star drew it to my attention. In North America, the publishing industry has become very greedy over the last 15 years or so. They, as much as anyone, have been leader of rising prices and lower value...inflation at it's worst.

Check this out:

Hello all.

I'm just back from a hairdresser appointment, and I've bought a couple of pizza slices, so no Danish pastry for me, thanks.

Did some other shoppings while being out, so I'm having fish this weekend for dinner, cod with lemon sauce and some smoked trout with creamy spinach.

So in Michigan a rapist or a pedophile is punished less hard than a married person who have voluntarily intercourse with a person he/she is not married to. What about a separated person, before being divorced, who is having a sexual relationship to a person, he/she is not married to? Technically he/she is still married.

It would depend somewhat upon whether the separation was Legal or voluntary.

Here there're only voluntary separations, as you can get an instant divorce here in certain cases, among others adultery if the person, the spouse was adulterous with, will sign at the authorities as the third party. Else you can get an instant divorce if you had been subjected to severe physical violence in the marriage.

Kind of funny, that cheating here is in the same category as having been beaten half to death! Else you'll have to be separated for at least a year before you can get a divorce. That's how it works here.

Heyas, everyone! :)

Sunday is a big day in the NFL, it's the semifinals. For those of you interested in the Chicago Bears - New Orleans Saints game, I want to point out that no traveling dome team has ever won a Conference Championship on outdoor turf...ever. Here's the history of it:

http://www.gregdempson.com

I'm making a gutsy play, I think, because I'm betting that for the first time in history, the Saints will win, or at least beat the spread, on turf in January in Chicago, and probably in freezing temperatures too. I'm on the Saints as Dogs at +4.

The Indianopolis Colts - New England Patriots game should be an exciting one too. Even though Peyton Manning has always choked in the finals, I think the Colts are going to win it, thanks to their great kicker Adam Vinatiari. That one's a long-shot play too, even though the Colts are supposed favorites at a spread of -3. If the Colt's win, it'll be amazing.

But Hey! No nasty comments if I lose these picks, okay? I didn't have to share them. ;)
