Probably the best way to "get moderated" is to generate complaints.

Complaints from the community mean that at least someone is bothered by the contents -- and we're starting to see a lot of complaints.

Could we take it down a notch, folks? Please??

BrainSmasher was and still is playing his game. The Breastfeeding thread was a good topic and when he brought up utter nonsense
just to cause unrest so I closed the thread, I refused to play his game.
Besides he opened a new one and continued the discussion.

The only nonsense on that thread is the concept that it's acceptable for a baby to Bleep in public while I can't even type the word without violating a variety of the rules.

The "point" is that the new thread was also deleted, prompting the start of thise one. Of course I'm sure you were to busy psychoanalyzing everyone to actually pay attention to the fact that this was/is more than a mere difference of opinion.

Maybe you should use words like breast Feeding in stead of "suck t****e"
There is a difference. "Bleep" is what you do when your with your Girlfriend
in the back of your pick up on a Saturday Nite.

That was rather harsh, Tim.
It is interesting that there are unacceptable ways to describe what many here believe it is an acceptable act. On the other hand, using dirtier words does not change the act, either, or make it or more or less decent/indecent, Brain.

They wern't my words RTP..

Some people complain, not about the post but about the poster. Knightmare has adressed this problem before.

Some people do really have too much focus on what certain posters post, maybe they should use the filter function and else just ignore that or those posters, they don't like?

People are allowed to post, as long as they meet the requirements from the project. This includes BrainSmashR too.

Seriously, can we kind-of ease away from this part of the thread? Maybe just take a step back from the edge of the valley of bad-taste?

Tim, I am not trying to get into an argument with you. I am asking that you reconsider the words that were yours, in bold above.

Well isnt that what was used to refer to a baby Feeding?

anyway I give up.

At the same time, I'm moderately offended, and I think there are at least six posts that could easily be deleted under the "annoy or antagonize" guideline, or the "hostile or insulting" guideline.

Complaints won't automatically bring the "wrath of the moderators" but they do bring attention.

So I may be entirely insane, but I'm hoping that a civil request will be better than using the delete function.

The only problem with ignore lists, is that everyone wants to know what every one is saying, so they click the link to be able to see the ignored posts. Doesn't accomplish anything.

Personally, I've only done that about 3 times. It just goes to show me one person, who should know I have him on ignore, continues to post replies to my posts. I know this doesn't quite fit in the "what are the rules," but I don't think it hurts to mention it here.
