How are points computed? By CPU time? What about significant results? Are we ever notified if anything interesting at all is ever found in our processes?

The credit is computed by the amount of Floating Point Operations are done. Time has nothing to do with it. Some units take longer, but give a little less credit, at times, because the calculations it is doing is harder than others.

The Science status page is under development. It will be a while because new software is being developed for a few things. Those include: Simple GUI, the new multi-beam receiver, plus I believe some more optimizations on the software for processor specific things.

The SETI team is only a handful of people, which only a couple are full time, others are students, etc. So it takes a while for things to get done, since this is a donation funded project. They have been doing some nice things with the software, and hopefully the new version will be out soon. They are also working on other issues (hardware and internal software) that have been plaguing them every so often (one of the reasons for the downtime a couple days ago).
