Is there such a thing? or are we listed in order as we join one?

It *was* a feature of the team pages to be able to sort by either total credit or recent average credit.

For performance reasons, it got turned off. One day, maybe it'll be put back.

There are a few 'third party' stats sites out there - most have such features working.

Both are VERY nice sites that are VERY informative. Thanks for the hard work. It's nice to be able to find out where I stand among other "crunchers" on our team.

Well, if you really want to see how stats are really done.... kind of makes the rest insignificant..... Mind you, what would you expect from the Worlds Finest Team ?

Currently the order is by S@H classic credits. (If you have them)

I could never figure out why...

Though it was simply by id? - ie. unsorted.

Team stats are in ID order, which is not necessarily the order members joined the project as members who joined the S@H Classic project were automatically brought over to S@H2 and the ID seems to be random. I assume the people who joined after the conversion date will have an ID in the sequence in which they joined.

Errmmm.... Obviously you haven't actually looked...

Looking at your team Nick,

Top man has 10,458 classic credits
You (I guess it's you) have 7,214
#3 has 5,401
#4 has 4,113
#5 has 3,443
#6 has 2,915
etc.....

Pretty coincidental ordering if we're going by ID doncha think? ;-)

Yes I did check and they are ordered in user ID sequence.

It may well be that they were extracted and the IDs generated in the order of S@H Classic credits sequence. I have not checked that.

So perhaps not so coincidential!

Still being worked on a lot, but plenty to get you started.

Participant IDs were ordered exactly as you state. User ID 1 is Ministry of Serendipity, who are also #1 in SETI@home Classic world rank.

Your number one guy has a user ID of 18002
Number two has an ID of 29867
Number three is ID 43981

So, how is this sorted by IDs?

Looks like increasing IDs to me!

Guessing here but I would think that the IDs were generated from a database table indexed by decreasing S@H Classic credits which was used to produce leader boards

Regards

Yeah, I guess that would make sense.
