Continuation from the old thread, as the old one got a bit long. Post your errors for the Seti Enhanced applications in this thread so Eric Korpela can work with it. Please post the error messages from the Messages tab, plus any information about your system. |

Continuation from the old thread, as the old one got a bit long. I sure do wish that Boinc software ran as good as Classic Seti s/w did. There is no excuse for the program to hang and not abort a bad work unit. This has happened several times to me and in this case, it was a waste of energy for 12 hours.............. 8/2/06 9:24:52 PM||Suspending computation - running CPU benchmarks 8/2/06 9:24:52 PM|SETI@home|Pausing task 07my05aa.11335.738.679838.3.107_0 (removed from memory) 8/2/06 9:24:52 PM||Suspending network activity - running CPU benchmarks 8/2/06 9:24:54 PM||Running CPU benchmarks 8/2/06 9:25:54 PM||Benchmark results: 8/2/06 9:25:54 PM|| Number of CPUs: 1 8/2/06 9:25:54 PM|| 1393 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU 8/2/06 9:25:54 PM|| 2362 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU 8/2/06 9:25:54 PM||Finished CPU benchmarks 8/2/06 9:25:55 PM||Resuming computation 8/2/06 9:25:55 PM||Rescheduling CPU: Resuming computation 8/2/06 9:25:55 PM||Resuming network activity 8/2/06 9:25:55 PM|SETI@home|Resuming task 07my05aa.11335.738.679838.3.107_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 515 8/4/06 8:45:22 AM|SETI@home|Unrecoverable error for result 07my05aa.11335.738.679838.3.107_0 (aborted by user) 8/4/06 8:45:22 AM|SETI@home|Deferring scheduler requests for 1 minutes and 0 seconds 8/4/06 8:45:22 AM||Rescheduling CPU: result suspended, resumed or aborted by user 8/4/06 8:45:28 AM||Rescheduling CPU: application exited 8/4/06 8:45:28 AM|SETI@home|Computation for task 07my05aa.11335.738.679838.3.107_0 finished 8/4/06 8:45:28 AM|SETI@home|Starting task 07ap06aa.4118.2433.404820.3.188_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 515 This system is running a AMD1800+ on Win98se, but it has happened on all my other systems as well. |

I just tried to download new work and got these errors. I run Seti Beta also, it seems to have affected the main Seti directory or something maybe. 8/6/2006 12:36:02 AM|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi I think its important what core client you´re using. I´m running 5.5.0 and optimized without any probs on beta. Mike With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

I have a stuck/hanging result again: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=361557832. It has not been reported yet, but that is exactly the problem. I estimate it has about 24 hours CPU time now, which is way to long (3 days for 1/3th of the time). And another person has the "-9 result overflow" message in his result, so it is the old problem again. I thought there was something changed on the server (WU generation) to prevent this from happening? Or was that another problem? Well, at least the last time this happened to me was over a month ago (June 20th, see old thread). |

I just tried to download new work and got these errors. This problem is discussed here . It is because you are using app_info file with optimised app here. Andy |
