Wow! Yes! That is one fine post.

If only more of us could learn from the experience of others.

You take care of yourself in that awful heat. Drink plenty of fluids, you hear?

Dad's been up and down in health. He was also cranky and unbearable to live with while Tippi was missing. He's calmed down a lot since she turned up though, and right now he's napping peacefully, which gives me time to do some posting.

Just added a new story to the Enquirer column.

LOL.

I suspect you have tapped into a previously unknown resource that you had in "Star" journalism.

I get this visual where the stories remind me of the old "Night Stalker" series.

Nothing beats the freedom of the press, eh?
:edit:
oops, forgot to add, thats good news about your dad. Mine gets cranky as well if something that has his attention gets "out of place".
I suspect it's just a part of aging.
:/edit:
*Now where did I put the d**n remote???*

Hahahah! God Bless Dads, our little crosses to bear!

You've just reminded me that I haven't read the electronic Star in a number of days. I hope I haven't lost track of the latest "Connie" star scandals.

I'm hoping FatB will be amused by the piece. From what I've seen of him so far though, he has a good sense of humour.

Friends!

We have an honest-to-goodness artist in our midst! Anne of Paris painted this lovely abstract. I love the colours and the mood of the thing. It "reminds" me of a cool afternoon in the city under a staircase, with crickets chirping in the background and a storm brewing.

Is it for sale Anne? What size is the original? Is it an oil painting?

Are you missing a 710?

Yesterday I was having some work done at the car dealer. A
blonde woman came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten. They
all looked at each other, and the Mechanic asked, "What is a
seven-hundred-ten?"
She replied, "You know, the little piece in the middle of
the engine. I lost it and need a new one. It had always been
there."
The mechanic gave the woman a piece of paper and a pen and
asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a
circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her
over to another car wh ich had the hood up and asked, "Is
there a 710 on this car?" She pointed and said, "Of course,
it's right there."

Mysterious 710

Why do this kind of stories always feature women in the part of the idiot instead of men ? :( Even if it's a good one, I don't appreciate it. Sorry.

"honest-to-goodness artist" is too much, I'm afraid. You're torturing my natural modesty ! ;)

Yes, it's an oil on canvas painting and it's size is 96 x 130 cm (37,8 x 51,2 inches).

It is for sale indeed ! :)

Because it's just plain Noodlier that way.

Many times jokes are rooted in truth. For example: Some years ago my girlfriend was out to buy a new car. I spent time discussing different models, gas mileage, reliability, engine power...etc etc. Finally she called me and said, "Yay! I got my new car today!"

I asked, "That's great! What did you finally settle on?"

"A blue one!"

-----True story. I teased her about that for the longest time.

If I listened carefully to what men say I probably would have some "funny" to share with you.

LOL! I have a slight hearing problem which means I can't hear the lower tones very clearly, so I have trouble hearing what men say. It's never really bothered me because I never thought I was missing much.

because I never thought I was missing much.

You mean : "... wasn't missing much." I suppose. ;)

Edit : wow, I'm really tired : I hadn't seen the "never" before "thought" ... Sorry again. It's time I made silence.

As for myself, I've got very good ears. I turn them off when men speak.

I'll email you later today. I hope you're not terribly expensive. Will I have to eat cucumber sandwiches for a week? LOL

Shipping overseas worries me a bit. Have you ever shipped overseas?

Any gallery can do it/tell you where to get it done. They'll probably build a custom plywood box around it and off it goes.

Cordially,
