What makes this place any safer from the mob, if our moderators won't protect us from flooding attacks?

I'll be glad to "hang out" here with you Mike, or anywhere else, but don't think we won't be flooded.

Maybe we should go out and flood Rocky's and few other threads. It seems to be the only language that the Captain understands today.

Our little home got flooded by a guy named Monday, and instead of backing us up, the moderator deleted our little home. Yep, the whole thread...and also the new thread I just started to build us another home.

B, I was present when Monday decided to try and do his "buffer overflow" or whatever it was. You should have seen the tags in HTML format, there must have been 100's lines of <br> that just killed my viewing (dial-up). I was very upset that someone just came in and took over your litle place of joy.

Reason for my post here. I "x'ed" the guy in the hope that someone would cut off his attack, and it may have been me that caused the whole thing to collapse. I'm truly sorry if that is the case. That certainly was NOT my intent, and I'm a little disappointed that the whole thread was written off due to one individual.

If that is the case, then I apologize. I really liked that place.

However, it does bring up another concern. That was not moderation, that was a nuclear bomb.

Again, my apologies. I hope I can make up for that.

it seems to me that moderation would also include the ability to lock someones account. That way the offender pays, not the community. We were enjoying that thread. Someone comes in and trashes it, the whohle thing goes away...

It is WAY more fair to lock accounts and delete the offending posts.

On forums I moderate, I lock accounts of those doing things like that. Lock it for a week or so, they get the point fast.

So you deleted my original Shunned Club thread after it was up an running for 3 weeks, and right after we got flooded, because you didn't like the word "Shunned" in its title?
