In my account I have the same computer listed three times, but the description is different so it won't let me merge them. If I delete two of them do I lose the credits that was granted to each? I was trying a different OS so it was listed as a different comluter each time. |

As far as I know you can not delete a system that has processed any WUWUs This 'SPACE' for Rent. It is not my fault, I am a cranky Oldman. ;o( M7 |

It's my understanding the the credits are for your account, not tied to individual cpu... I've moved boxes in and out of my pharm - never noticed any prob, but my credit history keeps track of 'em all... Just one omniscient beings humble opinion '-~ "Nipple Free Since 08/24/04" |

You will not be able to delete a computer even if it has only had one WU downloaded to it. It doesn't matter if you process it and return the result. |

you could try "merging" all those pc's into one via your account info. still boinc/seti is plagued by hardware failure's, pompom :) |

Sorry about the double post. Paul the link you posted looks like the solution that I'm looking for. "The key to this is the "hostid" in your client_state.xml file" Only one small problem..Where do I find the client_state.xml file. I had to computers when I started out on SAH II - the first one being my fathers and the second my own. My fathers computer had downloaded one wu. When I uninstalled boinc, I thought I could delete the computer from my account, but I couldn't. But I could merge it with my own. And these computers are totally different. Perhabs you tried to merge in some wrong order or something. I think I remember something about the order has some kind of significans... S@h Berkeley's Staff Friends Club © member |
