| I am 48 years old and live in Virginia. I enjoy finding opportunities to use my computers. Seti has proved to be a worthwhile program, I just wish I had found it sooner. I was in the Navy at the Naval Air Test Center In Pax River (Strike Unit),for 9 years, working at testing the YF-17, which became the F-18 Hornet Fighter. I was Honorably Discharged. I worked in retail management and finance management for 20 years, until becoming disabled. I am married with 2 wonderful daughters aged 26 and 20. I have a 6 year old grand daughter who is a true blessing to be with and to teach. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I do think life exists because we are just beginning to explore the Galaxies beyond. However I think it is unlikely that we shall be able to decipher a signal in our lifetime. We don't know what level of intelligence or technology is out there, but with programs like Seti@home we have a starting point.I feel we all would be a little closed minded to believe that we could be the only form of life in the entire Universe. I think even theologians would agree. |
