Hello,

Bear in mind that science and scientific research is not born overnight...Patience and firm belief in a research topic can take years, not to say in some cases a full lifetime of devotion.
You cannot expect that this totally new approach of global networkcomputing with all its pitfalls and problems is going to be solved over one night. We all have to learn from eventual mistakes and no one is to blame for raid failures. These things happen, even when the team would have unlimited financial recources, which is surely NOT the case I presume. I'm pretty sure most of us could NOT do the job better than they are doing for the moment.
In my case there is a difference between the actual registered WU and the real amount of 4000 WU less. I don't give a damn, because taking part in this event is more important than personal stats... Remember the spirit of the Olympics.

Patience seems to be rewarded in the end.
It however seems more comfortable for most people if they are better informed of wat is happening. So the humble advice to the team is: "Do your utmost to keep the supporting people aware of what is going on...". Even on this matter there is an amelioration.

Greetings to all die hard BOINC-ers from Belgium ;-))

Did you activate your old account darth, or just create a new one? By the date of your registration i would guess the latter. you must activate the old account here:

http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_email_form.php

When you have done that, you can download and install the new boinc client.
Another thing: those 12000 wu's will be in your account but no longer count in your new stats because it uses a new credit system. It starts over from scratch.
Boinc is having some problems at the moment so if you activated just a couple days ago, theres a possibility that it has gone wrong. Try again.

It's not a matter of whether you're using your old e-mail address or not. It's dependent on whether you followed the instructions to ACTIVATE your old account for the new project. If you did it right, it will show your OLD "start date".

To participate in S@Home/Boinc, you find on the "Participate at S@H" webpage following:

Quote,
Get a SETI@home account:
If you had an account in the original 'SETI@home Classic' project as of 14 May 2004:
We've transferred your account, including profile and team information.
You must now activate the account.
Otherwise: Create a new account
End quote

As you were already a S@H user with an account at S@H Classic, by using "Activate the account" you should be able to find the WU's already processed under S@H Classic.
As this is not the case, I guess you used "Create a new account".

Here is what to do. Rename the BOINC account you created to something else. Then you will be able to activate your old SETI account using it's e-mail address.
